Hey Kev

How would the 02 optimizers be completely different from the 1190 and the 1290? I would think they would be the same since the lc8 engine is almost the same etc

I've installed the 1190 PVC with zero issues and dyno the bike as well with new mapping. If the 02 optimizers are completely wrong as the power commander rep says, what would I notice if they were ? As far as I can tell. Bike runs and responds perfect What's your thoughts on that comment from the rep?

to pootytang5150 :

I don't believe the o2 eliminators are different.

Just like dynojet told us the 1190 pcv would not work, i believe that all o2 eliminators are the same value.

If you search google you will see that all dynojet o2 eliminators are the same 2 resistors for all brands : 33o ohm + 1M ohm

But i could be wrong about the 1M ohm resistor, any thoughts ?
Thanks

Peter :-)

I Dont care anymore.

I never doubted that the 1190 wont work as kev has proven that from the start but as i had one on order for the 1290 according to my PCV dealer and it would be here next week then the week after etc and we couldn't get response from them as to why it was reclaimed or pulled back so I mailed them directly and that was the answer I Got

So a longer harness is not going to make me wait another month neither is different eliminator's as I have the AT300 ,

So yes what really is the difference between the 2 unit's ? i guess we wil only know once someone has one.

That's what I was kinda thinking as well. The eliminators are the exact same probably but for liability reasons they will not endorse the 1190 product to work with the 1290. I can see them making the cables longer and slapping a new part number on it specific to the 1290 and call it good

I have Dyno proof the 1190 O2 eliminators work on the 1290, the 1190 & 1290 run the exact same part number ECU with different mapping which I would expect, they share the exact same part number O2 sensors, I have ridden with my PCV for over 3000kms with not one problem, not much more can I say. :D

I have already seen some Dyno results on the 1190 with the open air box but have not shared them, I am after the 1290 results.

Hi Kev,
Are us poor mugs in Australia forced to go through a distributor for the PCV & At-300, the 1290 model is not even listed on the Oz distributors website so how can we buy it from them  I noticed they have PCV's etc for the 990's listed and they want an extra $50 bucks just for buying it from them :(
I tried to order through dynojet only to get to the end of the process to be told they wont ship directly to OZ.

Awesome!! Thanks Kev.

As a bit of back info. Are these a plug-n-play? As in can they be installed and ridden without any loading of maps? Or do they need to be tuned straight after installation?
I bought a Duke.

PCV & AT-300 available from http://www.rottweilerperformance.com/ delivered to Oz for about $820AUD.
I'll wait for the airbox; save freight and one less fuel tank/airbox removal.

I would load my map for now as it was built on our fuels, I have not seen any PCV 1290 maps from Dynojet. I will be uploading Staggers PCV map tonight for anyone to share that has the Akra map loaded.

I strongly back Kev's recommendation. Excellent service shipping to Australia. Faster and cheaper, what more could you want.

Excellent news, appreciate your help. I will probably order it all together as there will likely be new maps available by then.
Thanks guys.
