no auto tune ! i m broke spend too much money for mid pipe. My mid pipe(decat )is special bought a Remus Mid pipe for £125 and cut it in the middle and fit a Akrapovic sport CAT so the bike is legal. Akrapovic cat was £80 and then i cant do Stainless Steel Welding so i find a specialist and get them welded all and cost me £150
so far mid pipe cost £355.

then i bought the PC5 for £336 and K&N air filter for £49

I booked my Dyno power run and A/F checking run for first week Jan 2017 At the minute they up load a map from PC5 and the bike is very happy but we will see.

The noise is amazing!!!! not loud not quite, very bass and deep. Almost like a V4 but yeah you can here its a V2 :)

All the mods will be removed from the 2014 1290 to fitted onto the 2017 model, hope not much has changed, will have to build some new custom Dyno PCV maps for the new motor.

I am bussy to buy also a 2017 model, just a few small things then the deal is done.
Unfortunately the EVO doesn't fit , but ergo seat, Rottweiler airbox and most of al the other stuff will fit on the 2017 .

Which cat part number did you use Tancakar???

>>> P-KAT-011 , P-KAT-006/1 & P-KAT-006/3 all have a 58mm OD

One of these would have just slid into the front of the mid pipe with no modifications needed, made an easy job hard

You mentioned earlier you had to cut n weld the pipe though I dont understand, you want the cat as far possible to the front on the link pipe so sliding it into the front of the link pipe is ideal

its quite close to the end of the link pipe but the CAT didnt fit to the Akrapovic slip on, so i need to cut the Remus link pipe and slit this CAT in. i remember now one of the side of the cat was 62 mm one of the other one 61 mm so our pipes are 58.5 mm so i need to make the pipe bigger slightly firs to slide in the cat. then i took to Stainless steel welders to welded it in. its quite down the bike alittle bit and creates back pressure not too much heat.

ok i manage to open it, what do you mean ? i check and read alot before doing this mode. I try to silence the bike and make it still have the back pressure. what kind of danger could it be behind such a small cat?
i fitted it near the exhaust , tune the bike with dyno tuners custom mapped ? i like to know what would i been done wrong. are you just saying because you know something or just talking.? :?:

Who told you they were discontinued?

I bought a brand new P-KAT-006/3 from RZracing.nl & had it sent to Australia

Maybe they have recently been discontinued?
