Kev, I'm sure the new owner has a well sorted toy.....Did you sell as a complete package or back to standard?
You can always borrow mine if you can't wait for the new one. :D

Thanks for the offer, I will miss my 1290 but will get another bike in the coming months just waiting for the 2016 plated bikes to be released.

I always put my bikes back to standard, the bike is as good as it was the day I bought it. I will have many bits for sale if I don't get another 1290.

Love the orange and white accents. I cannot justify spending thousands more to get a white and orange bike.

What bike those came from? Did you try to fit them on the SDR? I have seen few Ducatis rotors that match SDR spec but haven't pulled the trigger yet

Kev, any chance to get some abs rings? Also, did you ever post up any dyno results with Bodis and Rotty intake together for max air flow? Your thoughts please? On mine, it feels like a solid combination! Unbelievable actually with just Akra map loaded.

No problem on the ABS rings have plenty in stock, Oz$80.00 + $21.10 posted to the US, all I need is a PM with your Email address so I can send a PayPal invoice.

I only borrowed the Bodis for the back to back testing & never had the opportunity to test the link pipe with any other mods, I am sure it would come into form with A/F ratio correction + more intake air flow.

Ciao Kev, ciao everybody else, this is my first post ever.
I own a SD1290R 2014 with 16000k that I use for fun, everyday commuting and to get rid of the traffic jam of Milan where I live.
I love that bike, the chassis, weight and handling, overall power, but honestly I really hate his bottom end; below 3.5K/4K with 5th and 6th gears I think the torque output is just awful, it rattles and shakes way too much. From that point of view it's the worse bike I ever had, in 6th gear is impossible to proceed at 90km/h without the motor kicks and that to me is just unacceptable for a 1.3 liter engine.
Since that bike has been never checked by an official KTM dealer before, just one month ago, for the 15K km maintenance interval, I had it overhauled by them and the ECM updated but nothing really changed.
At the moment I'm running just a piggyback fuel control to enrich a bit the mixture, a stock air filter and a 80mm velocity stack l turned on my late; I had little improvement but not enough in my opinion. So I'm tempted to move to PCV with AutoTune and a fabric air filter (not Rottweiler at least initially) since in your previous posts you mention a substantial bottom end output improvement besides the overall power gain.
Would you recommend the mod for that specific reason or the output improvement doesn't worth the economic effort?
