Replaced the coolant today on my 2016 1290 Superduke.
Did as per workshop manual and raised front wheel 50cm off floor and removed bleed screws from engine block whilst filling with coolant. Topped up to the brim then run engine to temperature and then left bike to cool.
When I got back there appeared to be a tiny drop of coolant exited from the small hole under the SAS plate, and had dried in with the heat of the engine. I have never had that before so I ran the bike up to temperature again and nothing came out !!
I should say that I had a small spill out of the radiator filler neck.
Does anybody know the purpose of these small holes under the SAS plates or why I appeared to get a small coolant leek from the right side one?
