2018 SDR Will not wheelie

Post by Tragicallynuts » Wed Apr 10, 2019 3:21 am

Settings

Street, Sport & Track Mode (all)
TC = OFF
Anti-Wheelie Off (in Track Mode)
Launch Control = Off (in Track Mode)

1, 2, 3, or 4 the bike will not wheelie. Doesn't matter Power or Clutch-Ups.

I can wheelie for days on my 2018 MT-07 so I presume some setting is on.

Suggestions?

I think I found the issue and the solution. One thing I know is that 2018 and newer are nothing like the 2017 as far as Config Setup to do Wheelies.

Issue: Bike will not correctly wheelie. Power nor Clutch-ups. Doesn't matter how many RPM's you throw at it.

Resolution:
Track Mode: On
Throttle: Street
Slip: Below level 5
Anti-Wheelie: Off

PITA since you need to set this up every time you turn on the bike.

..unless you buy the race dongle (61312953044)

Is it correct that the anti wheelie is either completely on or completely off? Unlike the Panigale that offers different settings so you can still get a little front wheel lift before the electronics intervene?

That is correct, on/off setting only!

I run my bike in track mode. Track throttle/wheelie off/traction control on 2. Comes up on command. You need to keep it in track mode or all the nannies come back on. You shouldn't need a dongle for 2017 and newer.
