I'm trying to install Kev's ABS rings on my 15 SDR for speedo correction.
Rear rotor is affixed with 5 bolts, which thread into aluminum dowel pins.
--> those pins have an allen head to hold torque when tightening/loosening the rotor bolts - but SNAP when any pressure is applied
1. holy crap, i need better dowel pins, like steel ones. Superceeded part number? aftermarket?
2. how can i get the rotor bolts OUT when the dowel pin snaps, and i can only get a 10mm open end wrench on the bolt heads?
thnx, really want to get this corrected, as the over-reading speedo is annoying and have the kev abs rings in the garage.

Sorry for jumping across from the GT forum.......Fry is totally correct......I read somewhere that you must apply heat to get the 'loctite' (or whatever it is) to release.......sorry can't recall where I read it (must have been an online workshop manual or on the forum somewhere.......).
Careful with those threads.....might have to Helicoil them if they are stripped away with the pins.
