This has been an intermittent issue, but seems to be worsening. When the bike is running the needle starts there and makes it's way across the LCD screen. Resets into normal position sometimes. :?

Residual voltage in the needle coil, possibly from a bad capacitor?

Yeah I'm really not sure, but I'll mention this to the technician, cheers!

It does this weird thing where it staggers/jitters back down to normal position when it feels like doing it. Once it goes out of whack though, it will stay that way until I cycle the ignition. The bike has only done 5500km so I doubt I have worn it out lol.

Was sniffing around SD.net forum and found this: http://www.superduke.net/forum/viewtopi ... 97#p291497

I then punched in my info and low and behold there's a recall/update for my bike. Rubber dash mounting I presume. I wonder if that's what caused the issue. :?:

Haven't even been into dealer for it yet as it's been close to 4 months since my claim for 2nd replacement tank with no word back. Don't want to over-burden them.

Will do KiT.

It's still happening quite frequently so I may drop into the dealer on Monday. Perhaps they can make sense of this recall/update business too.

This has started happening to my bike since the 60,000km service and getting worse. Just yesterday the needle cycled when ignition switched on and stuck around 10,000rpm. On start-up it was reading over 11,000 and into no mans land when revved. :(
Service tech is going to look into it. Even a repair option would be would be fine and sure cheaper than buying a new dash, as warranty is 10 months expired.
