Retaining Drive Mode

Post by andygetsitdone » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:55 pm

Forum Folks,

After months of searching I have finally solved my problem of the drive mode reverting back to 'street' mode after turning the key off.

If your ride mode is resetting to street you need the dash update 2.22. The 2.20 version that shipped with some bikes causes the drive mode to reset to street.

You can find the version by turning the bike on and holding the up and down arrows until the service mileage reset screen appears. The last number at the bottom is your dash version. :geek:

Uhhh, I thought all SD 1290 R revert to the default settings after turning the key off - or has that been changed or are we talking about something else?

No, drive mode (STREET/SPORT/RAIN) should be retained. MTC and ABS reset without the dongle.
