So, it was definitely the chain. During the 1000 miles service, the dealership tightened it up, and it got better. But within a few days of riding, it got loud again. Maybe even worse. I up with it until last week, when I decided to take it in and have the neutral position sensor issue looked at, the fixed ABS/speedo rings installed, and the incessant brake squeal resolved (now that the warranty is pretty much expired).

They tightened the chain again, and it sounds great. But I'm wondering if this is going to keep happening. Thinking of getting myself a Chain Monkey.

In my case it was absolutely the same, I tightened the chain tension last night, the bike runs like new again, no chatter no rattle or anything when I roll of the throttle. I guess in time it will come up again but with the torquey engine that it has I just might be what we have to live with.
KTM all the way!

I started to have exactly the same issue after 2k kms from new, some rattle noise on deceleration. Gonna check the chain tension!

Tightened the chain and the chattering sound disappeared.
