I've taken mine over 170mph indicated with no wobble felt. I am using the sport settings, weigh 200lbs. I'm not sure the number of threads on the shock but can check if interested.

11 threads visible.
Keep in mind springs are not all the same and there will be variance.

In the manual it has 4 different settings. Comfort, Standard, Sport & Full payload. They are just recommended compression & rebound settings by KTM

I think I know the problem with some of the 1290 SDRs handling. Its the color of the bike. We all know the black ones go faster. But now I believe the black ones handle better too :-) ;-)

I thought this was just nakeds needing a better steering damper. My s1000r used to shake like crazy over 110 and that had semi electronic suspension and pirellis; also I'm 155lbs. My panigale had no problems at any speed, solid as a rock.

My S1000r sport also got a bit of head shake. It was down to me gripping the bars too tight. Once used to the bike no issues, right up to the rev limiter in top (Spain racetrack..). Assuming suspension set correct try a more relaxed grip on the bars..

Had this exact problem. Replaced the stock tires with Dunlop Sportmax Q3. Zero wobble as long as my arms stay loose. Read in sport riding books that stiff arms will cause the wobble regardless of setup.
