Condensation in headlight housing

Post by Gary » Thu Nov 26, 2015 5:40 am

After riding in light rain, I noticed condensation in the headlight housing. Is that normal?

I noticed this on mine too, though the condensation area is right up the top of the mask. The largest affected area was pretty small though, like 2-3cm.

It could be a cause for concern if it starts spreading down over the headlight spectrum.

Me too, I believe it was on the lower part. Not to big luckily went away, i wonder what prof they need to replace it. I guess just ride in the rain to the dealer!?

Actually, I later noticed that mine may be above the headlight housing... One of those chilly yet humid nights I guess...

Had it in the indicators - front left and rear right- dealer replace rear one and dried out front one - putting some vas / grease or something to make the seal - Will test it when it rains!!!!

Front and rear indicators had condensation - replaced by dealer - no issues since. That said the way things are made these days I've had lights replaced on every car I own because of this - is it just me !!!!
