Corbin seat HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!

Just had a quote for a corbin seat, on the web site its $499 about £275 m&p quoted £450 about $740 what a rip off.

Yup far cheaper to buy a spare seat off ebay and get it done in a local upholsterers :D

Must say that Ive had a couple of Corbin seats over the years and have been very disappointed, dont waste your money!

Can anyone recomend a good upholsterer in the uk I would like to get the seat widend to fit my arse and maybe have some kind of comfort pad fitted.

On the face of it, maybe. Once you start comparing apples with apples, probably not.

Base cost: £275
International shipping (based on Fedex Economy service): £93
Shipping insurance: £1 (for ease of calculation)
Import duty @ 3.7%: £15
VAT @ 20%: £82

Total: £494

In that context, £450 looks pretty reasonable (not to mention that the stock seat starts to look pretty comfy).

Ahh forgot about the VAT still I bought an xl125 to run about on in the winter for the same price as the seat.

+1 May be the single most overhyped piece of motorcycle kit I've ever wasted money on.
