I would like the seat to be an inch or so taller, 1-2 inches wider, level and maybe a little more back. Did you have any similar requests?

The seat looks very nice, although the stock cover is beautiful.
Thanks

I think it's a 1450, but I picked it up used. I will look to see if the tag has the size on it. It is about perfect for the rack though.

Good thing I checked!

The Pelican case I have is a 1400.

I took the rack off of the bike and used the slots as a guide to drill the mounting holes in the case. Used rubber washers under steel washers inside the case for weather-proofing.

Very nice and thanks for double checking!

Bought a used SMR seat on e-bay for my SMT , height wise it was perfect for me (I'm 6ft 2")but it was a bit narrow, not very comfortable on long journeys.
I then purchased a seat concepts SMR seat foam from the states and fitted that with the original cover and I think it looks quite good,it is wider which makes it more comfortable.ImageImageImage

Any long term reports on the smr and the smt seat from this company? I'm looking at either one for pong distance. I have a 3500 mile trip over 15 days coming up.

Can any owners of the SMT seat comment on the passenger section of the seat?

My girlfriend hates the stock seat for long rides, her main problem is it stops too far forward and she ends up sitting with her butt off the back of the seat in order to lean against the top case and not crowd me. It could also be a little wider and fill in the "blank" area between the seat and grab handles. Would this seat address any of this?

I hope so, 'cause the price is sure right!

Other than using a different foam the passenger seat is the same. I haven't had anyone on the back yet so I don't know how it is. I'm sure one of the companies that makes them for your liking can help a rider be more comfortable.

I have my seat concepts for the smt for sale or trade for a 2013 seat. I don't much care for the flatter seat. I have an airhawk seat that I can put on top of any seat. Just figured someone on here is interested in giving this seat a try. Pm me
