Lambs Wool Seat Cover

Post by D-train » Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:33 pm

Hi there guy’s

After talking with my mate about the seat and the fact that it starts being an issue after about an hour or so I thought I might try a lambs wool seat cover. After securing a skin at the markets, it took me about ½ and hour to fabricate it up 8-) .

I went for a ride this afternoon for about an hour and it does seem to help a bit but providing better circulation and distribution of pressure.

Time will tell but it can’t hurt ;)

Cheers

I did this with my 1150GS and its really good unless its wet :( and then you get a soggy arse.
I put a proper one from http://www.alaskaleather.com on the 1200 Adv and its much better in the wet. It also keeps your butt warm this time of year ;)
I imagine sheep-skin is very cheap in Oz :P

 Yeah, lambs wool isn't to expensive, about $50 at the market with enough to make another one if I use straps to hold it on. :)

At some point could you show a photo of the underside and how it attaches?

Hi there

Sorry it took me so long, been really busy! :)

I just streched it over the seat and then put some slots in it so it would go over the tabs under the. The front part is just tucked in and doesn't come out.

Cheers ;)
