Mixing front and back?

Post by Roadhawg » Thu Apr 03, 2014 6:44 pm

I want to do my first track day on the 19th of this month but Im wondering if I'm looking for trouble with 2 different tyres on the bike.

t had both front and rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2. I picked up a puncture on the rear and it looked dicey to be plugged so I got a Diablo Corsa rear in December.

So Rosso 2 front. Rosso Corsa rear. Bad idea?

Wouldn't bother me, I would still do a track day with those.

They're both radials. You'll be fine.

A guy I ride with said he had a Corsa front for me for cheap.... Turns out it's a Supercorsa!!!

Donnie they're still mismatched but at least the front will be super sticky.

My first track day on Saturday. Excited but shitting myself a little too.

Ressurecting this one.
I am getting a contisportattack front free from continental from the recall.
I have the option to put conti sportattack or conti sportattack2 rear. What do you think?

I don't wanna hear how crap the contis are :p i haven't had any bad moments with them, the rear lasted for about 9000km and i will save some money from the free front.

So? Going with the same front rear or "upgrading" the rear with the sport attack 2? I think it is the same profile/thread isn't it?

I've got Sport on the front and Road on the back, and they work amazing imho.
A gut full of ale and a head full of magic.
