I've been riding Mich Pilot Power 3 this summer. This is the new sport tire that replaces the 2CT. I got 6000 miles on the front and 3400 to 4000 miles on the back. I ride pretty hard and this is a lot better than the couple of Dunlop Q2's I've owned. Those averaged 4000mi front and 2400 mile back for me. I was really liking the Q2's until I tried the PP3's. Like the handing a lot better. The Q2's had a nice progressive feel as you squeeze into the corner but seem to push you upright if the road tilts off camber (like a small hump on the inside of a corner). The PP3 just holds the line better when leaned in medium to hard on uneven cambers. Cheers - Dave

Thanks for the notes, I am now convinced to try the PP3 as a replacement for the M5 (which are very good).

Finally got to the track with the Pilot Power 3's.
I can't comment on longevity yet, only done 1000km on them including 40 odd hot laps, but they really suit the bike and hold up well so far.
If i never see another Conti tyre it will be too soon.
