Thanks for this. Quite scary that kind of experience and hats off for keeping it together like that. I was just about to get some new tires for the winter and Metzlers are obviously out and PR3's in. Goes to show that forums like this can be potentially life saving.
Bit of a surprise though because I grew up on tires like the Metronic and Metzler's were always renowned for their wet weather ability. No longer I guess.

I've got about 1000 miles on the Angel ST rear/ Q3 front combo.
So far this has been clearly my best set up so far. I'm no expert by any means as I'm
sure many have noticed, but rode them pretty hard thru the Tail of the Dragon 2 wks
ago and never had a moments bobble or even cause to think of them like with other
tires.

Started with the stock Attacks, then went to B23GT, then the Pireli Scorpion.
