GT Pannier stuck shut

Post by Markb » Thu May 24, 2018 6:28 pm

Alright all.

First post here :).

So I've loaded the bike ready for a week touring, fitted the panniers with my gear in and now the left hand pannier wont open.

First time these have been used so they ain't damaged at all.

When I turn the key it doesn't feel like the slide mechanism is working.

Anyone else suffered this and how did you fix it?

I've a ferry to catch at 3pm tomorrow :(

Mrossk the key turns to all positions, it feels like the slide (under the flip up handle) isn't moving?

The key must be in the open pannier symbol position to work, then push down on the handle. You don't turn the key to pop it open if that's what your trying. When I'm trying to remove the panniers off the bike sometimes my handles won't pop up and I have to wiggle on them to be able to grab the handle. Good luck, I hope its something simple rather than a broken mechanism.
