Fork dust boot cleaning

Post by Zombie Master » Wed May 09, 2018 8:37 am

2013 990 SMT

I see the book calls for cleaning the dust boots. I guess you lower the covers and clean the crap out and reinstall. It also call for some lubrication.

I've never had an upside down fork before. How do you pull down the covers without damaging them? Do you warm them up? What are you using for a lubricant?

Thanx :)

Just a dull screwdriver, no heat, slowly pry it down...just the o-ring grease
