Talking about calipers...

Post by tErRibLe » Sat Jan 06, 2018 12:43 pm

Hi again!

I have another dude about calipers...

I know that our Brembo calipers breaks magnificently but I would like to make matters worse...

SMR has Brembo M4 calipers... question is... those calipers would be fitted in our SMT using same hoses and banjos?

I'm thinking about installing Brembo M50, but in this case, I imagine that I would have to change hoses... :(

Thanks 4 all, guys! ;)

Do you have abs on your smt? If so, I don’t think you can change calipers as abs is set up for the default ones.

Abs works on pulses from the abs ring. Changing calipers won’t make a difference to the abs.

I think the same.

Anyone has done this performance?

I’ve seen it done on Ducati Multistrada 1200s and their abs works the same way and it was fine.

No, not on the video. It was a reasonably common upgrade on that bike as the brakes weren’t the greatest. SMT is a lot lighter so the brakes are pretty good as stock.
