Ram's SMT modification list

Post by Ram » Tue Feb 09, 2016 7:53 pm

Hi guys!

My name is Remi and I'm from Poland. ;)
I'm a happy user (still) of 2011 SMT from about one month.

After a hours of reading of this great forum I've done some mods:
1 - Wings Carbon silencers (already was in smt)
2 - add K&N filter fitted in stock airbox instead of stock paper
3 - add OBD TuneECU cable into my toolbox
4 - SAS removed, added plates, and emulated SAS valve with 21kOhm 0,25W load (and off it via TuneECU)
5 - EPC 2 + 3 gear reductions off via TuneECU
6 - O2 sensors lambda off via TuneECU and removed from exhaust pipes
7 - Second flies removed and turned off via TuneECU (motor and shafts stay there)

Next will be colour change with rubber spray coating (plastidip) on frame (orange) and front lamp covers (white) - now all is in black like the darkness night :)

Image

The question is...

What is your fauvorite colour?

Image

No, just kidding  - which map I suppose to load via TuneECU - because standard Akro maps is not suitable when the second flies are removed - that's what I deduced from yours posts.

Many thanks for any help!

Anybodyyyyyy?

I found something like this (mine):

#9/ Kev STD Air Box RC8 FINAL 19.8.12.hex
Standard air box (ok), standard air filter (k&n), snorkel installed (std snorkel).
Can be used with STD or RC8 stacks (std).
2nd flies & shafts removed (with shafts).
Leovince pipes (wings)
O2 sensors turned off (yes sir).
EPC turned off (yes sir)
Rev limiter 9750rpm (can be)
SAS Removed (yes)
Make in Brisbane Australia (poland), sea level (yes, Gdansk City), 22 degrees C (ok), 95 RON BP Fuel (ok), mapped to 13:2.1 using a AT-300 auto tune (nope)

What you think?

There are not many standard air box maps in the map section, I would try a few to see what your bike likes.

There is nothing better than a custom map built for your own bike & would recommend it every time.

Thanks.

Is there any way to build good map without dyno?

I would always recommend a custom Dyno map, the next best tune would be a PCV + Auto Tune, have a read here to see the differences.

Map #9 downloaded :)

First ride after 15 idle when wheather will be better.

I will try to load map 7, 10 or 20 - after I rebuild stock filter (add extra two K&N square filters 19x13cm and 11x9cm).

Thanks for your support, Kev! :D

In some of maps there is an infos about throttle voltage.
This parameters change automatically while loading tuned maps or I must change it manually?
Do I must change this parameters always when aftermarket, better air flow, filter is installed?

Bike after Plastidip paint job :D

Your bike looks goog, I like the orange frame.

No real need to change the TPS voltage it is there as a reference, if you want your map to be 100% right you could set your TPS the same as mentioned in the map.

Add some mods from last time.

H4 COB Led headlight, heated grips, CNC mirrors and two additional K&N filters on the top of stock airbox.

You think that map 9 (stock airbox, snorkel removed) could stay with that type of airbox (additionally filters, snorkel stay in) or better try with maps for DNA filters mods?

How did you apply the orange coating? I like this :D did you need to remove the frame? As I see the front which is hidden by the tank is still black.
Cheers
