Bike creeping when clutch pulled in?

Post by Hardyrider » Mon Jun 25, 2018 6:45 pm

Hi, searched some old posts but can’t see anything definitive I’ve a 2012 SMT and loving it but I’m sitting in traffic and the clutch is pulled in the bike starts to creep forward.

Also when engine is hot it’s hard to knock bike into neutral from first gear, like others turning the engine off and knocking it in works a treat but just thought I’d ask is there a fix for this?

Sounds like a blocked oil jet or it needs an oil change. Mine usually does this when it’s in need of an oil change. Oil change usually sorts it right out and neutral is easy to find again. I use 10w50 Castro Power One Racing. If it’s a blocked oil jet, that’s easy to do and many guides online.

Thanks it must be the jet as I’ve just had a Oberon cylinder fitted by the dealer a few weeks ago, will do a search in checking the jet.

Thanks again chap 👍
