990 SMT to 990 Adventure

Has anyone here converted their 990 SMT to a 990 Adventure?

Is this feasible? Surely it would take spoke wheels and engine protection, but
what else?

Please advise. (Even if the advice is "Don't try it !")

My thoughts are, buy the adventure and get the bigger tanks too.
