I didn't get much response when I submitted the post below last summer. I since made one more map which I have been using now for a couple of months without any issues. I have removed the logging equipment and mounted the lambda gauge on the handle bar. Lambda mostly stays around 14,2 when cruising now. At some throttle positions and RPMs it goes as low as 13,5 and as high as 14,8, but you can't really notice when that is happening. For instance I don't get any exhaust pops whatever I do. I remember forum members have had that issue with other maps.
Lambda at bigger throttle openings is still between 12 and 13 so don't worry.
Anyhow just out of interest I was wondering if there are any forum members that currently are running Kevs map #20 that would be willing to try my map. Just to see how it runs on other bikes. Preferably in Europe where we have the same fuel. (I don't know how much it varies between north and south Europe)
My latest map can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/upgy27ay8wqz5 ... 7.hex?dl=0
Akra with baffles here, no SAS, no 2nd flies, no O2, MH airbox, short/std stack.
Until now I have been riding and modding all sorts of maps, Kev's #20 feels very good, Tommy's mod7 was almost perfect. I substracted 2% from both tables and it was even better, smoother. It may be needed because of fuel differences, or perhaps restricting baffles?
I hestitated for long to try mod8, because of how good the bike behaved on mod7.
But mod8 is the best I have tried till date. I also substracted 2%, lowered the idle and turned EPC off as I always do. It is super smooth down until 2k rpm, below nothing with two jugs can be smooth anyway
Less popping on deceleration, I can live with that (it may be due to leaking exhaust, need to get to that).
Thanks Tommy and Kev!
