G'day Scrubrunner and fiends......I've been wanting to tag along for ages, but my Saturday's are tied up with mundane stuff.......I mostly get down to the Outpost Cafe at Canungra for breakfast on Sunday's, being the only orange bike there (have seen a hot looking black SD-R occasionally)...... followed by a cruise through the hills or over the mountain.....gets me home before the summer heat sets in.. :)

I also infest KTM Central (Tony's Cafe) for breaky on some Saturdays (before I have to do that mundane stuff)...... though the days are getting longer (daylight now 5 ish ).... ;)

Cheers Scrubs, got the pm.......now you're in strife.......we can protect our rims, and our reputations, with skillful blarny those young blokes wouldn't understand...... ;)

I gotta admit I haven't had the opportunity to give the 1290 it's head yet (pol-patrols or rough narrow roads or all sorts of excuses.....), so I'm not likely to embarrass anybody as I don't like being laughed at while lying under a scratched up bike.....

Ps......but I have given it some stick when no one is watching......and F*k me it flies.... :D

yeah bloke .. twist volume control open & grin shamelessly like a youngster with his first stick book aye, aside we'll have to get a lap of the hills organised sometime even if it's to run down into the nthrn rivers end of the world & a bit further - plenty of good pub accommodation down there!!

 ..... if'n it's gunna bee this ferkin hot ..... might have to aim for Tenterfield's altitude (and coolness).

Oh wait...... forecaster's say cooler weather coming........haha......when have they been right recently

Been messing around weighing up options to replace U13 (gearbox went boom yesterday :( - that was fun, not) - the car is 23yrs young - bloody nice to drive.......cruise, aircon, shocks, tinted windows, pwer everything, and a 90Ltr LPG tank in half the enormous trunk........  ......yeah, it could go 1000kms on full tanks......but it's the end of the line for the old girl......

I'm liking the new Suzuki "Vitara" that was released in 2015......f drive (I don't need 4wd), 6 speed auto, full spec trinkets and almost as frugal as a Honda CBR1100XX..... 8-) ........ all for a couple of $k less than a 1290GT :o .... i love aircon...... ;).........but wait, there is a turbo option.............decisions eh?

Rainy Sunday's........ :(

Bike Show (Laverda Club's annual 'Concourse' show......remember those old 3cyl beasts?).......washed out.... :(

My early am breakfast ride .......washed out..... :(

Bugger........

Oh well.....got the mowing done yesterday just before it started to rain all night (and today).... :)

The U13 (car) lives to fight on......it was a LH drive shaft that went 'Bang'...... :)

So the CBR1100XX got some useful riding for a week commuting in our deadly 'killer' traffic while car off the road........and just missed the rain showers so no need to wash and shine it....... :)

KTM got to take me to Saturday morning coffee with ageing reprobates (to vale our fallen mate who succumbed to his un-winnable fight with throat cancer.. :( )........so that's a mix of :) and :( ............

And the Motegi Moto GP is on at civilised time this afternoon on free to air TV...... :)

That's a good mix of smiles to balance out the sad's...........

wed morn & still raining here too we've picked up a touch over 80mm rain each 24hr cycle for the past 3 days so at last the tank water smells & tastes like water again - bugger mowing, marathon movie watching is my current past time & the power hasn't gone out!!

Ahaaa, my broken back is fixed..... errrr, now how do I start this here 1290 thingy...

Bloodyhell..... a sore back puts you out of action for a long time - and I'm not sure what I did to earn that "holiday"........ anyway, it's a relief to get the 'feeling better' signal rather than starting down the 'search for nasty causes' track.. ;)

Heheheh....there's an orange & silver beast lurking in my garage.....now if we can have a fine weekend for a change here in un-sunny Queensland Aubloodystralia..... I think I might find some use for it....

Geeze, the bike is totally up for whatever I can toss at it......I'm the tosser (toss-ee??) that is letting the side down .... gets to 10,000kms and hurts iz back eh......what a goose!......

Hahhh, must've offended the gods - my infernal net access stopped working after a Microsoft update last week and i've had to stuff around trying to get that fixed as well........crikey.......I'm frightened to think about what's next........car (bang) back (youch) I/net ("IP unrecogniseable")...... well that's three strikes, so maybe I'm good to go...

I'm on borrowed connection from next door (and it just bailed out so I've had to retype reply  ).

Hope u got out for a ride - I woke to threatening skies and drizzling rain..... :(

I was thinking of a Maleny breakfast ride too......dambuggerpoo......sorry man......and I still hafta cut the grass before it gets knee high

Ahaaa.......my Optus prepaid usb has decided to connect to the infernal net...

Shit, this has been a pain on top of other pains for the last 3 weeks.......but it seems to have fixed itself, after I've run every wizard and blundered around every setting i could think of......and phoned the long suffering Optus assistance lady............. anyway, fingers crossed, connection is hopefully reliable once again ;)

Sorry guys, I'll be wandering around Sydney on Fri and Sat (big motorcycle show at Darling Harbour).....hope to catch up for the next ride in better shape than I've been for the last month

Errr, me again...... had to get local PC repair shop to clear and reinstall W10 to fix "IP address not configured" problem. Thanks Mocrosoft....... that'll be $180Aus and while we're there we'll put a faster SSHD in for $170Au and you'll be really 'appy'

Oh well, it all 'werks' better than ever now so lookout, AuDave is baa-ack  ;)

Ha :!: .....another tale of woe.......came down with a nasty flu virus on the night before the big plane ride, so I had to miss the Sydney International Bike Extravaganza......... :( :( :( .....what a bummer the last few months have been......GT sitting ready to rocknroll and driver out of order....... 1st world problem eh? Shouldn't complain eh? no bombs falling or food shortage or floods or....... anyway, have been feeling like I'm getting better this week but buggerme it has taken a long time to get over this bug......and I get the annual flu injection every year (but it didn't work so well this year  )

Cheers all

Oh, should mention it's been raining again.......typical (it's another weekend in paradise so why not rain)......

good to hear you're mending mate have to get it on the rd aye, as you mentioned soggy stuff - we've just received something along the lines of 5"+/- a couple of points over the past few days bit of local flooding, bit of roadway washing out here & there so from my perspective you picked the best time to be recovering

Cheers mate, some 'new' friend I am eh(?) ........ all talk & no show....

Had coffee with the reprobates who got to the Sydney Bike Show and started to feel ill again......there goes the grass mowing for today....... so I'll just have to try fasting for 24hrs (again) to see if that might kill off the virus that likes my gut as a long term home...... :x

Bloody waste of time this on again off again virus caper......roads need inspecting, bikes need exercise, rider needs a change of air........ my GP doesn't seem too concerned..... says there is a stomach virus going about......great......oh well, at least the PC repair guys fixed one thing - pity they can't 'reinstall' my program
