Nice, always like the look of the orange frame.

Health to ride.

Fit my BikeTrac unit last night. Got up this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for my first commute on the new bike (also first dry ride on new bike).

So... now on the train into work because I'm stupid. BikeTrac unit was in my garage about a month. Upon hooking it up, it sucked up all the bikes battery to charge its own. Will have to charge it tonight [THUMBS DOWN SIGN]

How do you get on with that screen? Looks like the KTM touring screen. I had one of those and couldn't get on with mine. Very turbulent and noisy. Might suit you if you're a different height, but if it doesn't and you want some proper protection for commuting, try the Palmer screen. Works a treat for me.

I described it to a friend (running an SMT with original screen) as 'a deafening roar'.

I think maybe an adjustable lip may work but I've got my eye on the palmer.

The Palmer won't cost much more than an add-on, will look better and almost certainly work better. They're good quality too. I've had mine on nearly two years and there's not a scratch on it. You just have to look at the KTM screens and they scratch.
You have to experiment a bit with the positions to get them right. I'm 5'11" and I've got mine on the highest setting tilted right back. There is no buffetting or turbulence and little noise. I can sit at 90 mph all day. Don't expect complete stillness like a full dress tourer. There is wind but its clean, smooth and much much quieter.
If you do go for a Palmer its worth paying the extra tenner or whatever it is for the option of having the stainless brackets powder coated in black. I didn't bother because I was being tight but it would have looked better.

Am I right in thinking you need to buy a palmer screen to go with the mount?

Windshield adapter kit - £57.50
Add black powder coating - £10
Add Tool-less adjusters - £10
Add medium screen - £80
Add accessory bar - £27.50

Total - £185

[FLUSHED FACE] ouch!

Far better quality than the any of the stock screens and they are non adjustable. £57 of that is the adjustable mounts, OK £67 if you have them powder coated. The tool-less adjuster are moulded knobs which allow you to move positions by hand. Without them you just get Nylocks. To be honest I've never moved mine. Get it right and leave it there.

Take the adjuster stuff out of the equation and the plain screen itself - a piece of plastic with four holes in it, is priced on a par with a KTM or any of the aftermarket screens, but it is better quality - clearer and more resistant to scratching and doesn't seem to cloud or craze with age.
Still worth it in my view. Doesn't matter how cheap something is: if it doesn't do the job you bought it for its money wasted.

Consider it added to the list then, along with pipes and airbox. I already have everything else I want/need on the bike. Don't think I can stretch to a slipper even if I did have the back end snaking after coming from a Multistrada with a slipper [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Can either of you please grab a pic of the top of the dash with the palmer. Want to mount the phone there, and leave the accessory bar for a GoPro.

Battery goosed. Just had to order a new one. Guessing the tracker drained it too low to recover. Had it on charge last night but battery went dead after one attempt to start.

Oh well, my own stupid fault.

I have this PUIG wind screen mounted om my 2010. It´s 17 cm (0,55´) higher than original screen.

I´m tall, 187 cm, (6´13") and have some "problems" with the wind coming straight to the upper part of the helmets visir. I will have to live with it. No turbulence though.

That's exactly where mine lands. No turbulence, just a lot of wind noise.

Can't wait to start tinkering with it and getting some pipes on it. No joy getting my lonelec tune ECU cable working yet so will have to have a proper play some other time.

Try Lonelec with a PC with win7. I had cable already working with win10, but after latest win update it stopped working. In win7 it works in another pc.

Got it working in the end. Using the driver they tell you to download from the lonelec page wasn't connecting. Uninstalling that driver and letting Windows find its own worked fine (as rare as that is).

New map uploaded and it's even better than before. Just shopping for some exhausts now.
