こんにちは from Osaka Japan

Post by toomanycooks » Tue Mar 29, 2016 4:55 am

Hello all,

I'm from London originally but now living in amongst the twisties and sweeping mountain roads in West Japan.

I've got a 250 EXC-F (which I've stuck a 300 kit on and rejetted) and most importantly picked up a 2009 990 SMR last November. The 990 is stock at the moment but I hope to play around with some freer flowing (and lighter!) exhausts and the TuneECU software to match.

I've not got any decent photos at the moment of the SMR but here's one and a couple of the mountain trip fun on the dirt bike.

Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Welcome,

Hajime Mashite (I think!).

You should get in touch with Hellboi off this forum, he's from nearer to Tokyo than you, but that's a lot closer than most people!

My partner is from Kobe, so next time we're over to see her family I'll get in touch and we could meet up for a beer maybe. Interested to hear your story of how you came to be over there (I'm from South London originally myself).

Cheers
Clive

Hi Kev, Clive,

Thanks for the welcome! I'll look up Hellboi and say hi.

Clive, let's have a beer if you're out in Kobe at some point. I live on the North side of Osaka so not far at all. South London yeh! I grew up in Zone2 SW of the center, so would be happy to meet another local. Give me a shout when you're next out this way.

Cheers!

Sidcup born and bred, so technically not quite London, but came under Greater London, when that existed.

Hope to get over around Christmas/New Year this year, so will get in touch before then - a long way off. :(

Enjoy the cherry blossom (must be that time over there now?)

Great, drop me a line nearer xmas and we can work out some dinner plans.

The hanami is in full bloom at the moment and now that the weather is warming up the riding can properly begin!

I bought some Wings mufflers which arrived yesterday and will get them on the bike this weekend. One week from order to delivery - huge thanks to Gorazd :)

Thanks also to Kev for putting his maps back up. I'll start playing with these soon and think about an airbox for the next change.
