Orange SMT from Portugal

Post by Adri » Fri Jan 07, 2011 4:38 pm

Hi.

Just bought a used 2009 Orange SMT... didn't had time (nor weather conditions) to ride it enough for a real conclusion about it, but so far I'm really happy with the change from sport bikes (CBR 600, R1, GSXR750).

The previous owner had already made some mods, like the Akra exhaust + maps and some KTM power parts (caps, covers, windscreen, ...).

Welcome to the forum Adri. Check on utube for a video of an SM-T and a GSXR 1000. The KTM leaves it on the corners and the gixxer can only catch up on the straights. Enjoy :D :D :D

Welcome Adri

I have had the pleasure and pain of owning both an R1 and a Blade, the pleasure of engine power from a sportsbike is unbeatable, the comfort level on a sportsbike is unbearable.lol

you will like your smt, i don't miss the sportsbikes when riding the smt one little bit, I only miss a sportsbike when i look at them parked up.

Stick to twisty roads and you will be laughing all the way!

Thanks, everybody!

Today was my first ride with friends, went to Serra da Arrábida. Nice tarmac, lots of twists and turns and some kms on highway...

I have to say that is, so far, one of the best bikes I've driven: the engine is great, excellent brakes... went a little slower than usual - first kms, need to know her better; the road was 50% wet - but was lots of fun!!

Can't wait for the rain to go way...
