Ordered a rear wheel socket from Racefoxx

I liked the design of the Racefoxx (German company) socket for the rear wheel axle nut, so I ordered one back on Dec. 1st. Based on tracker info, as of today it has still not left Germany. Racefoxx says be patient. Anybody here can vouch for Racefoxx, or have experience ordering from Germany to the ...

It had no effect at all on wind screen adjuster mechanism, as far as I can tell.

Re: GPS Bracket

Thanks Clogan. Can you send a pic if possible? Especially of the bolt you used? Thanks again. Re: GPS Bracket

I used the lower-most hole, cutting only 3/8" off the bottom of the RAM ball mount. I hand-tightened a nut on the holding bolt, and everything is snug and stable. No shims eere needed. I use my smart phone as my GPS, and by using the lower mounting hole, the phone sits higher. Thus I get more room f...

Re: GPS Bracket

Yes you can use the bottle hole, the picture shows where it fits and the bolt . https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171211/f3b59aa583e73549985c080efb4824b1.jpg Yup...had to cut 3/8" off the bottom of the RAM mount, then it fit into the bracket using the bottom hole on the mount. Secured it with all-...

Re: GPS Bracket

I have a great little mod if you don't want to spend ££ If your using a ram ball mount this will work perfect, where the OE sat nav bolts into the square tube behind the clocks remove the bolt and the top cap, now instead of using the OE sat nav get a ram mount as below and cut it down so the bolt ...

"The plug vibrates out of its socket after a couple of days riding which is not the end of the world, but a bit dangerous to re-insert without stopping. £120 seems steep for just a software upgrade, I presume there's a 'black box' to install?
I too am wondering what is involved in adding MSR. I have a 2016 model, and find no referenve to MSR in any menus.

Mine, also a 2016, is fine too. I am still amazed by this bike, each time I ride it. Best bike I have ever had...and I bought my first one in 1971.

Re: Quick shifter not working

Be sure quick shifter has been activated in your settings menu...mine had not. Menu is pretty intuitive, but it's covered in the manual if you need a reference. OP has Good observations all around... I'll just add: Ive gotten used to riding in a lower gear, and at a higher rpm than I have ever befor...

Re: ST Tires

I put a set on an 06 K1200R, 2k miles and the rear was gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I got the similar miles and performance out of Shinkos (Ravens and Verges) on my C-14 Concours as I did Michelins and Avons..and at less than half the price. Can't remember now, but one (Ravens or Verges...

Not a problem, just WOW!

I have a bit over 2600 miles now on my 2016 SDGT, and got the chance to really open it up today...on a long, long entrance ramp to an interstate. And I just have to say WOW! I have never had a bike with such acceleration! I'm not going to confess to breaking any traffic laws, but traffic in other la...

Anybody ever try Shinko tires? I ran them on my last 3 bikes, and liked them a great deal. In terms of cents per mile, they were unbeatable.

Re: Burning smell?

I've had my SDGT for a couple of months now, ridden 2500 miles or so. I still notice the odor of something burning when I park. I have suspected this is due to newness of the bike, or maybe "break in" of the header wrap, but the odor remains just as pronounced now as it was the day I took delivery....

I ordered one last week from Racefoxx, if you're still looking for a 60mm, 1/2" drive socket.

Re: It quit...but did refire!

Couple of times I have rolled up to a red light, but did not down shift quickly enough. With clutch left out, bike dies easily, abruptly, and surprisingly. Coast to the curb, pull in the clutch, and hit the starter button, and engine fires right back up. Conclusion: At least in my case, it's user er...
