Re: Suspensiion service

Took yesterday rear shock off and took to service. Also the shock lower bushing was having lots of play so they change that as well. They said that typically service is to be done at app. 30 k kms but I'm sure that after 7 years the nitrogen pressure has dropped drastically, and cost is 100€ s so we...

Re: IGT or Rottweiler?

Rottweiler looks better (when saddle is off). Btw can someone estimate, how often it should be washed/re-oiled, within scenario where bike is ridden on streets and max 4000 kms in a year. 12 months ok? That was last thing I did last october and wouldn't want to take tank off on spring, or before nex...

Re: Finally!

XR is very powerfull, but to me lacks the long travel suspension, and lazy torque of v twin low down (after smt mapping etc). Tiger was very top heavy, plastic echo from fairing, and triple was too linear with that power and felt breathless. Ducati Multistrada? New KTM 1090 is also very interesting,...

Re: Suspensiion service

At 22k serviced the forks: oils, seals, bushings. Bushings were having some too high tolerance and sometimes could feel it. Much better now. Rear shock should be serviced also on coming spring, there is nitrogen pressure in, and inevitably it is not going to hold forever. I feel that after fork main...

Re: standard exhaust

I have map 20. with Rotteiler, 2ndaries removed, sas not in use etc.. Works well, but acceleration seem to slow down a bit on highest rpm, this might be due to restrictive pipes, but really small effect and might even continue with stock pipes since performance is great otherwise.

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161009/7af4b2b69085f6dc3593a1638e8db59e.jpg Can't wait to start tinkering with it and getting some pipes on it. No joy getting my lonelec tune ECU cable working yet so will have to have a proper play some other time. woooowww! It looks gorgeous! Try Lonelec with a ...

Re: KTM 1090 Adventure

If they bring 800cc with 115hp and 175 kgs, that would be great. Anything less - not so much. Ducati hypermotard 1100 was close to that, well at least by torque and weight. 1090 R with Acras and Rottweiler would be close to std SMT weight.

Re: KTM 1090 Adventure

That bike makes previous 1050 look like a first exercise from engineer student, wonder why they cut the power from that one? Actually discussed that with KTM importer rep on spring on their tour, and he said, that it is not possible to map the power out from that engine, even if it had all the poten...

Re: KTM 1090 Adventure

The R model is very, very nice. Let's hope it is significantly lighter than 1190 R, otherwise does not make sense so much.

--> They claim 207kg wo fuel, which is pretty decent. This would be one to trade my SMT one day..

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Got some problems with Lonelec and win10. First it worked normally, but then suddenly stopped connecting. Other pc with win7 works fine with cable.

Re: SM-T started to vibrate??

Throttle bodies sync done with tune ecu (very easy), 2ndaries removed, rc8 stack to front cylinder, Rottweiler installed, map no. 20 in, but with SAS, and std exhaust. Very good and smooth, pulls from 3200 rpm and does not vibrate. At low speed even 2500 rpm is ok to ride at city. At high end the st...

Re: Considering an SMT

Actually, Yamaha Tracer was in 40 000 kms test in local magazine, and motor was shot after the test period. It was sent back to Yamaha for analyse but no feedback to Mag. Lower spec materials due to price? Problem was in head, valves, and in cylinders. Anyway I bought SMT after 2 Triumph Street tripl...

Re: SM-T started to vibrate??

Tune ecu showed slight diff in throttle bodies, but not very much, will adjust it after I remove secondaries and change the rc8 intake pipe. Actually it is still vibrating somewhat (not very irritating) on 6th and from 120 kmh. It can be also worn out chains and sprockets.. or maybe ktm exhaust caus...

Re: Throttle handle - inaccurate feel

2010. Found G2 products, would that be good option by std model? Throttle motion is already so long that "tamer" version would make it probably worse.

Throttle handle - inaccurate feel

Is there some better aftermarket throttle handle available? Original handle has high gap in tolerance and very loose and inaccurate and plastic feel.

C'mon!! :D

Well then I'll do the throttle bodies sync on winter. Is your bike stock, with acra's and -1 for example.

Re: SM-T started to vibrate??

Continual of this active discussion: eventually changed also the fuel filter. It helped clearly down low and pulls much better and smooth from 3000 rpm, now it is possibly to ride 85 kmh with 6th. When I purchased this with all above mentioned problems, couldn't use 6th under 105 kmh. KTM dealers, 2...

Re: SM-T started to vibrate??

Got the cable and loaded the kev's smoothened std map. Problem solved, pulls better by wider range down low and middle and feels like new bike with all other fixes done down the road. Vibrates much less. Well it was good that also fixed those other starting problems regarding loose clutch and motor ...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I have stock set-up in bike, and loaded today map #15. Very noticeable difference and pulls by wide range really well. Are the secondaries more open with that map, since feels that exchaust sound is different!? Anyway great upgrade and in city I can use bigger gears and lower rpm.

Re: How do you change the Cush?

Changed bolts as well. It was surprising that even new bolt and cush has singularly quite loose fit. But when all 5 bolts are in, the sprocket is tight, and so is ride.
