Re: BC Canada 1290 guys

Went to Bella Coola this past week and saw what appeared to be a dead GT on the back of a flat deck at the Lightfoot gas station in Lillloet on Tuesday on our way through the Duffy.

We should have a Island meetup one of these days, and we all could discuss what mods we have and how well they work.

Re: Hello from Vancouver, BC

Welcome to the forum. Obviously I own a GT and I live in Nanaimo. The forum is a good site to gain inside information on these bikes; however, not all of your questions can be answered here so if you want some information regarding upgrades or retrofits, feel free to ask me. A lot of the work I did...

Re: dyno percentage loss

When mine was on the dyno I had the Rotty stacks and air box with Pc3 and my GT made just a hair under 150 hp and 90 ft pounds, the dyno op said if I yanked the Cat I could maybe expect another 7 to 10 hp. He also said the stock muffler with Cat out worked quite well.

Re: Cyclops LED headlight conversion

There website states that for the GT it's only advantage is being brighter, and because of the shape of the stock deflector it does not project any more light.
But I think safety is much better with the Cyclops than without it. The stock bulb is pitiful.

Re: New GT

I've got a Remus link pipe with my GT and with little cam Remus includes in the kit to replace the missing exhaust valve there is no issues. Works just fine, and no error codes.

Re: DYNO RUN and Good Results

Just had my 2016 GT mapped on a Dynojet 250, my bike is stock with a Rottweiler intake and 80mm stacks,pvc5 results were 149 hp and 90 ft pounds at sea level . Dyno tuner has lots of experience says that's normal for the Superdukes he's had on the dyno. Says with pipe I could expect maybe 10 hp and ...

Re: 1290 Power Commander V Custom maps

Got a 1290 GT with a Rottweiler intake and 80mm stacks with stock exhaust. Recently purchased a Power Commander5 and while browsing the internet could not find a map close to my mods, so decided to load the 1290 GT Euro map for stock exhaust and pipe. I've been running with the stock Ktm map for 4 k...

Re: MRA X-creen Sport

I sold my 1190 because of the nasty buffeting wind noise. Tried everything to change it.
Tested a 1290 GT and found it way better noise wise. No buffeting, so bought it.
Still has the stock screen, I get wind but it's clean.
