Re: 2017 Keyless issue

i turned off locked steering lock and proceeded to start again, after many many tries it started but key has to be on the tank, what a pain If you’re using the spare, I think it has to be on the tank to start it. You can take it off once its running of course. Only the “main” key can be used while ...

Any idea how we find out which bikes were affected?

The fuel gauge sensor is still dodgy.

Re: tail bag arrived

I've got the larger version and it is 100% supported by the passenger seat. No chance of it pushing on the tail light and absolutely zero chance of it moving around either.

Overall it's well made. Just not as waterproof as I'd like.

Ps. Mine is a 2017 so I can't talk for the earlier versions

Re: KTM Top Case

I ordered a Ventura top box and rack today (https://www.ventura-bike.com/Astro-Top-Box-VTB1432-B) so I'll post some pics once I get it installed. I've got the KTM large bag (http://www.ktm.com/powerparts/travel/street/2436l-expandable-rear-bag/?year=2017&segment=Naked+Bike&model=F9960Q2) but its a l...

Quadlock motorbike mount

It works fine like this but I'm going to put on the optional arm that comes in the kit to move the phone across and centered under the dash

Re: Sturdy iPhone mount for 2017 SDR?

Used it in the driving rain on the way home tonight. The rain cover works ok but its not magnificent. If you're doing highway speeds in the rain, I'd recommend having it in front of the dash or giving it some "extra protection". I'll work out a way to do that later.

I've got a quadlock too - using the new motorcycle mount. It works well (to 130kmh anyway :) )

Re: 1190 Adv Speedo correction

I've read and read this post but couldn't find anything specifically mentioning the 2017 SD-R (so apologies if I missed it)... Are these suitable for this model? If so, I'll grab a set!

Ta,

First Tune & Two Recalls

Had my 2017 SD-R in for its first tune yesterday. All routine but with two factory recalls waiting for it. One was a software update and the other was a clear sticker for the swingarm to stop it being rubbed by the cables for the exhaust valve. They didn't have a sticker in stock so I'll have to go ...

Re: Whelp, It happened.

I like that KTM Lock and might be able to justify the price, lot more damage could have occurred yesterday. You can buy the original (as opposed to the KTM branded version) for MUCH cheaper than the KTM one. Google search is your friend ;) I can't remember the brand or I'd mention it here but it wa...

Re: Air Temperature Reading Wrong?

Good to know - ta.

But with the bike cold, given it had been sitting for 12 hours out in the open, surely the airbox temp should be very close to the outside ambient temp? Not 4 or 5 degrees above?

Something for its next checkup I guess.

I've got one too (the larger one) and its rock solid. Maybe give your straps a check? Or maybe you accelerate/brake harder than I do? :) )

It doesn't carry a huge amount but for little essentials, its handy.

Re: Air Temperature Reading Wrong?

Hmmm.

It's pretty freaking cold in Melb at the moment. Full fog this morning and the forecast was 6 degrees but the temp on the display before I started it while it was sitting out in the open (all night) was 11.5 degrees...?

I wonder if it's the sensor used for engine management?
