Re: Throttle Surging Issues

I've had two bikes with custom maps. Throttle response was perfect everywhere.

Re: Throttle Surging Issues

Find a race shop with a dyno. Let them clean up the Arka map. That is where I would start. Also, I believe that the popping goes away with the SAS delete.

Re: Running lumpy, or just a V Twin?

I have seen some bikes run worse when an after market exhaust and/or intake is used. They need a better map. If the cat is still in place you probably don't need to worry about it. That said, my bike doesn't like to be lugged either. Keep the revs where it is happy, and GHL.

Re: 2018 SDR Will not wheelie

I run my bike in track mode. Track throttle/wheelie off/traction control on 2. Comes up on command. You need to keep it in track mode or all the nannies come back on. You shouldn't need a dongle for 2017 and newer.

Re: Austin RS22 and Side Panniers

I have the SW Motech tank, and rear bag, and like them. I am impressed with everything I have that is SW Motech, axle/frame sliders, and bark busters. If I ever go on that elusive (for me) road trip I will pick up a pair of these bags.

Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Hi all, has anyone fitted Rizoma bar ends M534 to their 1290 Super Duke R 2017 model. I'm having a lot of difficulty tightening the screw into the bar end, the rubber expansion piece doesn't seem to be expanding when tightening. Also when I took off the original bar end its attached to a long brass...

Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Just reading this, and have a thought. I have hand guards on my bike, with no bar weights. I have no vibs, or at least none I notice. The hand guards might kill the vibs.

Right on, glad you like it. I am pleased. Getting it tuned next. After that I may tinker with suspension. If I hit pay dirt? Wheels. 😎

Re: Micro Blinkers

I did have to buy some resistors. After some mild research I settled on the SW Motech pieces. The license plate frame has an LED light in it to keep it legal. The plate mount is just a piece of steel bought from Home Depot and cut to fit into the plate frame with a tap bent to the desired angle, and...

I haven't taken the time to figure out how to post pictures here, but here is a video of my bike. The rear blinkers are self adhesive LED. $9 on ebay.

Re: My New 19' SD R

I am with you as far as keeping the bike quiet. A lot of my riding is in urban areas, and am done with neighbor wakers. In the next week or so I am going to be scheduling dyno time. I will be using a Rottweiler intake, and a decat pipe with the stock can. I will get some db numbers as well as the po...
