Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Hi all, has anyone fitted Rizoma bar ends M534 to their 1290 Super Duke R 2017 model. I'm having a lot of difficulty tightening the screw into the bar end, the rubber expansion piece doesn't seem to be expanding when tightening. Also when I took off the original bar end its attached to a long brass...

Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Just reading this, and have a thought. I have hand guards on my bike, with no bar weights. I have no vibs, or at least none I notice. The hand guards might kill the vibs.

Re: Micro Blinkers

Right on, glad you like it. I am pleased. Getting it tuned next. After that I may tinker with suspension. If I hit pay dirt? Wheels. 😎

Re: Micro Blinkers

I did have to buy some resistors. After some mild research I settled on the SW Motech pieces. The license plate frame has an LED light in it to keep it legal. The plate mount is just a piece of steel bought from Home Depot and cut to fit into the plate frame with a tap bent to the desired angle, and...

Re: Micro Blinkers

I haven't taken the time to figure out how to post pictures here, but here is a video of my bike. The rear blinkers are self adhesive LED. $9 on ebay.

Re: My New 19' SD R

I am with you as far as keeping the bike quiet. A lot of my riding is in urban areas, and am done with neighbor wakers. In the next week or so I am going to be scheduling dyno time. I will be using a Rottweiler intake, and a decat pipe with the stock can. I will get some db numbers as well as the po...

Re: Best Front Suspension for Both Road and Track?

I think I will definitely go with siffer fork springs, and probably need to play with rebound. The front wallows when pushed. I would also like preload. I need to do some more research on what valving is available, and to a cost/benifit analyst.

Re: Best Front Suspension for Both Road and Track?

I have some questions. First, if you are out for a spirited ride, how hard are you riding? Second, did you ever change springs? Last, once you settled on running the stock setup with the clickers on comfort, did you use it exclusively?

Naw, I've already got a bike. I am just concerned with bumping the starter while the display is still cycling.

Oh, and one thing the KTM guy said was - never press the starter button before the system check has finished - that can cause a heap of issues with software.
Any glitches I should look for? I do that sometimes.

Re: Will be buying soon

I commute as well. If you are doing more than 20 miles (maybe less), at 75 and up, put a little screen on it, or look at the GT. I had to change the bars on mine. The sweep was too much. All said. The bike is the shit. Comfortable, handles decent (I want to stiffen the front), and power wheelies in ...

Re: Best Front Suspension for Both Road and Track?

I plan on doing a revalve, heavier spring, and adding preload to my forks. Unsure of what the shock needs, but a spring for your weight might be enough. The faults of the stock suspension are noticeable when riding "spirited" on the road, definitely need fixing for track use. That said, I haven't fi...
