Got a photo? Should look sweetarg wrote:I've just replaced mine with a 990 Superduke radial one, so now it matches the brake cylinder. Fits with the hand guards fine. If anyone wants to do this, you need to get a hose made up the same as a 990 Superduke but 4.5inches longer.

Quick update
Ok, so they have arrived today. Thats only a 5 or 6 business day turn around. So thank George. Much appreciated!
Had a quick look and they look pretty good. Will be installing in the next couple of weeks, so I will update then

Re: Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder (Magura)
Fair call, surprised that the pull is stiffer. I would have thought it may have been even better. The 167 10.5 is much improved and the clutch action is very much reduced in regards to effort. Also very happy with the feel.

Re: Fuel filters for KTM 990 injection - real price, not KTM price
No first time.
With the need to replace every 20,000k's (in my case) they are stupidly expensive. I left it too late both other times and couldn't wait, hence I got two this time
I'm thinking that I'll just replace them every major service instead of having a bike that will not go.

Fuel filters for KTM 990 injection - real price, not KTM price
Hi there guy's Just a note that fuel filter can be bought from George in Greece for 27 Euro's. Mailed to anywhere that has a mail service (postage included). Just ordered 2 sets for myself. Here is a link to the Adventure rider forum if your interested. Otherwise his email is below: http://advrider....

Re: what is acceptable engine/clutch noise
Mine is quite noisy and I have always found that I can tell when the oil is getting low because of the increase in noise during start up. My mates 990 Adventure is the same. They are loose and they spin up fast! These engines are not like a Honda or a BMW 4! Just check your oil levels and ride it ;)

Re: Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder (Magura)
Hi Kirishma Yes me too! the replacement seals only lasted a few months, at $70 a go (self installed) I didn't want to keep doing that! The 167 10.5mm version is the upgraded model, so I'm assuming that they have improved the quality as well as the design. It is the same as what KTM has selected for ...

Re: Pingel Inline Fuel Filter
If you are thinking about replacing your filters in the tank with this one be careful. The filters in the tank go down to 5 micron and are very good at doing what they do. I have not found a inline filter that will go down to 5 micron.... I note they don't state how fine this unit is

Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder (Magura)
IMG_3121.JPG Hi there guy's Just a note to say that after failing to rectify my leaking clutch master cylinder, I went on the replacement route. I first checked out the KTM supply chain and found that a new unit would cost me about $550 and between 4 to 6 weeks to get.... (i.e. Typical KTM Australi...

You may be able to order a part for the clutch bracket that you have which will allow the mirror to mount. This is what Magura does.

Re: Me and my big mouth.
Hi there I too have had my master cyclinder go after I did the rebuild. It only lasted about 3 months! :? My old piston is long gone so I can't go back to what I had or even check the diameters to see if what you describe is a common occurance  I have over 55,000 km on the bike with much of it ...
