Re: Still running in.

Run in done, first service done, tank/filter problem resolved. Fitted some grip puppies to lessen the vibes and seems all OK. Screen is a little slow to go back to daylight mode and has little dots all over it in sunshine but just minor things. A very small clip of today in North Yorkshire: https://...

Re: Windshield buffeting

I don't get buffeting, I am 6' with 31" inseam. Screen on highest gives the least wind noise from my Nolan N90. My only real dislike is the vibrations in the bars at 6k rpm. The right hand mirror becomes almost a blur. Do they all do this or not? Just got first service done and ticked over 630 ...

Re: 2017 Keyless issue

Not the same issue, but a question regarding the Keyless system. Is it the same as the BMW one? i.e. if you start it then drive off leaving the key behind does it keep running until you get to your destination and turn it off only to find you cannot restart it? Or does the dash warning pop up to let...

Re: Geez, I've had no "teething problems"......

Still only 400 miles on it due to weather. Gave it a bit of a fistful in third and was surprised by the front wheel lifting at around 8k, certainly has plenty of power. Dealer did say to give it a blast through the gears every now and then but not to hold it there.

Re: Any reliable SD-GT's out there?

My Super Adventure, only 350 miles, has a clonk on the front if I stop and let the forks bounce back up with the brakes on. When I next brake there is a clonk I was assuming it was just moving the pads upwards in the callipers and then reseating them. That's the only time it does it.

SA S under the seat

Under the seat of my new Super Adventure S is a rectangular plastic box. Attached to the rear end are 2 pipes and at the front is another fitment with nothing attached! Any idea what this is?

Tank width widest 24"
Pannier width 40"

Hope that helps.

Re: Geez, I've had no "teething problems"......

Good to here you're sorting it out. Another thing they addressed on SA S, under the fancy dash is a little lever like on a car steering column. Unlock it and you can swivel the dash up and down to a position that suits. There are also nice plastic guards over the USD forks to prevent or at least red...

Re: 2017 KTM Myride issues

On my Super Adventure S I have paired the Bike to my IPhone 6 and my Scala Q3. Volume was really quiet from the music on the phone until I turned up the volume on the phone. then it was OK. Easy to miss.

Re: SMT to GS?

Put panniers and top box on the GS and the similarities are evident, both mile munchers with all the bells and whistles. No way similar to the SMT but neither really is the GS TE. Just my opinion but anyone considering the GS TE might want to look at all the options out there.

Re: SMT to GS?

No one mentions the FJR! I had one for 9 years and they have improved now. My mistake was to test ride the Caponord 1200 and realised how much fun I was missing. FJR similar to the GS does everything just so well you forget you are on a bike at all. Probably a little more performance in the big Yama...
