Ditto for me......... only 11,300kms but chain looks new. I'll expect around 60k kms maybe more (though it is a V2 with uneven power pulses and bulk horse power.. ;) ). Well that was fun........ :o Fainted while at 'Outpatients' waiting for my appointment....... ended up in ED again (bloody cold aircon) and then in a ward for the weekend (no bloody TV......arrrgh...... missed the Moto GP :( ). Me too....... brake part and fuel pump are waiting for me (was booked in for 19 March) but am unable to do any riding for a few weeks (months?) so it can wait till I'm up for it or my cousin the bike mechanic takes it for a spin (now that Yamaha HQ Brisbane has decided he is too 'old' for their pref...

Cheers all, Apologies, I've been hiding out in hospital for the last 3 weeks........but....... I put my hand in my wallet and bought the current issue of AMCN (Aus m/c news) magazine......... annnnd there is a major update to the SD-R coming soon to a bike shop near yu ;) So that is not an SDGT........

awwww crap, lost the draft again........ Many many thanks for the well wishes my friends :D I've come out of 3 weeks in hospitals in great shape and heading for a solid recovery. Will be 3-6 months before I am allowed - or - are game enough to put my still healing chest bones to the test of a GT rid...

YeeeHarrrrrrr......... errr, ahem, yes - my GT is still 100%.......but I must admit to being the unreliable component :lol: I've just had open heart surgery to by-pass some narrowed arteries...... that's a whole story in itself ;) So I have to be happy just looking at my GT as I shuffle about recove...

G'day fellow GT reprobates..... this isn't really a teething problem for the GT.....but more for the rider :o Just a note to remind everyone to take good care of their health....... i eat healthy, exercise, never smoked blah blah ;) ...... and have ended up in hospital waiting for a coronary by-pass...

Hi all, losses are losses....... chains have to be just right (clean & tensioned) tyres not worn and correct pressure, air filter perfect, new plugs(?) oil etc etc for a perfect figure. Maybe the other forums prepared their GT's and maybe they just hooked them up and did a run...... also, the motor ...

G'day again jfink...... was driving and a thought bubbled up from down the other end...... :o Maybe somebody on here knows, but...... would an O2 sensor fault cause the cylinder to run too hot/lean? or a fractured/pinched wire....... hope they figure it out asap and get you on the road & smiling aga...

The plugs are normally changed at the 30k kms service (errr approx 19,000ml) so I wouldn't expect anybody to have interfered with plugs at such an early mileage.
