Re: Puig windscreens for SuperDuke GT in US?

Yep, that works fine 8-) The Puig was good in naked trim, but my expensive little shelf ornament (X-creen sport) does help tidy the slipstream enough to allow me to leave the Puig in the lowest position and have only the rush of clean air hitting my upper visor. I got busy and mounted the X-creen pr...

Commiserations to J Biker........ hope the R1200GS puts a smile on your face.....I like the look of them and they make plenty of power tooo 8-) . My friends have MS1200 DVT's but they all paid $6kAus more for them than my Gt so nice as it is to have extra suspension adjustment, it costs a lot more.....

Re: Getting a Grip on Fuel Range.....3.5Ltrs reserve or not?

I've never been comfortable with range-to-empty gauges either. What sort of distances do you have between fuel stations in your part of OZ? They can average 50miles/80kms even on relatively main roads in the more rural parts of West Texas. If you like to explore the back roads, they can be far less...

Re: Fork seal gone

G'day all, I cured my dust ring type new fork weeps with a light fine cross hatch sanding.....but lately I have noticed a weep ring on the left fork after a few rides......nothing that would leave a drop on the floor or even make it to the fork-axle mounts......but a light oil-dust ring.......right ...

Re: Getting a Grip on Fuel Range.....3.5Ltrs reserve or not?

nah, I just wait till I get a reserve warning just as I approach a fuel station, then fill it. I've noticed it takes 18-19Ltrs to get to reserve from full ...... I haven't had the urge to lift the tank off when it is nearly empty and drain the dreggs out and measure just enough to get me to the fuel...

Re: New Disc Rotors from KTM Aus.....Quick Warranty Service!

Cheeers guys.....the nut that came loose probably had more of a story to it than the guys were telling me....... DaveNZ - I was just searching for those Racetec rotors your mate put on his Ducati....... I found the Brembo 'Serie Oro' 320mm rotors instead. They are 5mm thick vs 4.5mm for Oem disc's a...

Getting a Grip on Fuel Range.....3.5Ltrs reserve or not?

Hi all, On way home after today's breakfast jaunt down to Kingscliffe NSW (the Choiux Box Cafe) I got the pannick nanny warning 'low fuel' when I was at 357kms...... Re: New Disc Rotors from KTM Aus.....Quick Warranty Service!

Cheers crazy..... I'll know soon enough......unless we get crap weather for the next few weekends  Not wanting to disagree with any discussions I haven't stumbled onto (I've only trawled around the Gt section), but warping disc rotors isn't a new experience for me......I had 320mm disc's on my ...

Re: Fork Chatter

Cheers all......I just had both front disc's replaced under warranty after 8,000kms usage(one had warped out of spec and was grabbing/pulsing at the end of the braking roll). Can't say it had anything to do with what Allan is working on, but it is nice to be back to new with straight Brembo disc's a...

Yep, sdmoto-parts.com are happy to ship to the dark side of the planet (errr, Australia.... ;) ) and they even said they'd make sure it was packaged properly to survive the journey 8-) . They quote prices in Euro ($109Eu) and UK but also show USD on the checkout.......so I'll have to have a think wh...
