Re: 40 T rear sprocket

Cheers mate, 17/40 will be very nice. Its the biggest that will fit without changing to a longer chain and it will add 250rpms to the tacho - which is just enough to keep the motor in it's sweet spot at all times (like around town in traffic as well as out on the open road). It is no miracle cure bu...

Re: taller windscreen

G'day Vortex. You are lucky in that there are more screens to choose from now than when I was looking 12mths ago. Have a look in the Accessories thread. I chose the Puig screen and it is taller and works fine for 5' 9.5" of me, but the mounting screws can crack the screen if you are not super aware ...

Re: Luggage rack for GT

Cheers Fredm....... job well done - strong, clean and functional. I agree both the KTM racks (the SDR type I've got and the full GT rack are deficient in grab rails - both are made by SW Motec specially for KTM). Maybe someone at KTM HQ will see your post and start thinking....... Gotta ask -...

8-) Aircon and fancy floor covering......now who spoils their bikes eh? Great news! May I suggest selecting 'Sport' engine map right from 1st ride...... GT can be fairly abrupt when new and really tight......and the sport mode isn't a fire breathing wheel standing monster setting....it takes a smidg...

Yes, that's how I read the new tread pattern too......probably won't last as long as the PR4, but more grip and better suited to a lightweight like the GT ;) - anyway, my Angels are wearing really slowly these days....it'll take a trip to put some miles on them if this crap heatwave doesn't relent s...

G'day all, though no longer my first weekender on the Gt......I'm booked in at Inverell again for the restorer's rally 13-15April 2018. My Ducati mates are having their Bevel n Bullshit weekender on the same date so I can't be in two places at the same time no matter how clever i like to think I am....

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

Hi all, Got the chance to test ride the 40T rear sprox this morning before the temps hit 35C (well, it was at 35.5C as I left to ride home so it was still nice while I was moving......). That 40T gives me the 250rpms I wanted to keep the motor in it's sweet spot while in traffic and juggling speed l...

Re: 40 T rear sprocket

Oh yessssss......thaaaat's nailed it :D Short ride via the motorway to Saturday coffee with world tourer mates and I had almost forgotten I had installed the 40T until I realised the Gt was much more civilised in city traffic :o It is heaps smoother to ride at traffic speed limits.....reason being, ...

Re: Headlamp and Daytime Running Lights

Cheers Jfink....... If you select DRL 'off' - the DRL will stay on and main (low) beam will also be on. Fills up the headlamp nicely. (goes out for starting, then comes back on) - also the LED corner lamp comes on as you lean....amuses your riding mates as they look back at you.... If you sele...

Yes, my dealer advised that due to legal reasons they must recommend the KTM pressures 36f 42r cold..... (bike manufacture's do this to cover their ar...es in case a rider sues them....so they recommend fully loaded touring pressures to cover all bases......but the GT is too light for those hard pre...

Cheers (in advance) mate...... hope the left hand finds out what the right hand is doing over in Virginia! The OEM screen can raise about 7cm (from memory) between lowest and highest......I thought I saw some mention of this in the Vstream diagram/overlay......err checking facts.....no mention.........

Re: Headlamp and Daytime Running Lights

G'day jfink :) If you want your main beam on (ie low beam main lamp) then turn DRL 'off'. I have done this as I wanted my main lamp on as I regard the DRL as not bright enough for our errrr, less than observant local's. Once you select DRL - off, it will remain on with the main low beam headlamp.......

Best wishes Dave'o......make sure you tie that weapon down on the ferry (in 1st gear so it can't rock off the side stand).

Hope the south Is. road crews clear the slides in time - plenty of great local beer avail to help with any issues ;)

Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

Agreed Twisty, I've got the Puig and it works well.......but that Vstream sure looks good in 95% tint (makes Gt look agressive  )..... they are longer and wider than OEM (see the overlay chart) and claim the 'V' design shifts air away from the visor....... prob not the best for a cold wet E...
