Re: GT missing from KTM site

G'day DaveW, I was just trolling through the Aus KTM site a couple of days ago and they still had the GT with headlight like ours (but with super sexy black & orange paint schemes)......... But, the LED headlight upgraded 2018/19 model might take a while to appear on our floor space - yours were pro...

Re: Constands CENTRAL STAND EVO or Abba SUPERBIKE

OK, everybody is out riding in the good weather.........  .

Anyway, Motec found the assembly diagrams and that has resolved my concerns - so I ordered a Centre Stand Evo (40% off rrp). Should see it by the end of July 8-)

Cheers all........ keep shiny side up :)

Constands CENTRAL STAND EVO or Abba SUPERBIKE

G'day all, Has anyone got one of these types of stands? I like the Constand version listed on Motea (mostly because they are having a "summer sale" and the reduced prices help offset freight to Aus  ). The pull handle up and step forward action looks natural vs push down action of my s/s paddoc...

Re: Ibex Crash Protector Bar

Me again..... Agonised over the colour....... silver matches lower cowl......but orange looks nice (not too much 'orange').. black would be nice too (not so in-your-face)........ arghhhh....... Motea had only orange & silver in stock at a discounted price from Ibex's $199Eu - $150Eu so all res...

Ibex Crash Protector Bar

G'day all, Has anyone fitted a set of Ibex crash bars to their GT yet? They look great in pics but I'd love to see a front on shot to check how wiiide they look on the bike. At last I found they are made of steel and come in orange/black/silver...... 8-) The SW Motech bars are probably the most secu...

Re: Anyone else ever forget they had panniers on and go 150mph +?

Yikes :o I thought I had read that the 2016 sidecases were prone to 'de-cover' at speed, but that the later cases had the covers screwed on so they wouldn't go their own way at speed..... but on the upside - the cases look good in all black... ;) ....... maybe the 'naked' look will catch on? Also......

Re: ABBA Skylift stand

Cheers all. My "La Corsa" stands look just like KTM oem stands but the rear takes a lot of grunt to lift (even with low fuel and no luggage on), so it must not be engineered as well as the orange stuff - and it has a small amount of spring to it if I provoke a wiggle ;) ..... bloody pacemakers come ...

ABBA Skylift stand

 Hi all, was just looking aimlessly at forum pics of GT mods/accessories and wham bam - a pic of an ABBA sky lift stand took my breath away. Google it......... it's amazing......... prob expensive, but so totally capable. Looks a lot easier to operate than my front and rear KTM copy stands ...

Re: Had to leave bike at the dealer...

I'm not convinced that 'Brembo' are as good as their marketing reputation... :| . They might have a great reputation on the track (racing speeds without the milages we do or the hill starts with hot pads etc etc), but for road riding, I'm not so sure they are worthy of the extra price for so called ...

Re: Need meat in the middle for a longer lasting tire!

Hi all, I've run with PR4's eer since they were released and never got less than 20,000kms to the wear indicators ( fuk where's that calculator buried on my desk......oh right....12,500mls)....... and that's the tyre I'd recommend for anybody doing lots of long distances on fairly straight roads as ...

Re: Different front brake pads?

Yes to DaveNZ's summary........one of mine went warpy at 7,000kms (that's when I first noticed them in city traffic riding and red light stops). The dealership did their check ride to confirm my report and KTM Aus supplied two new disc's. I shouted for a new set of pads which turned out to be identi...

G'day SuperGT....... from Downunder (Aus). Welcome to the forum and enjoy tricking that weapon up with bling. When you look around at the competition, all the bikes in this category have become very pricey. Others have very small fuel tanks/ low horsepower/ no panniers/ massive weight etc etc... and...
