For Canister Removal Info

Hi all, When (not if) you remove your charcoal canister to make more space under the rear seat for tyre repair kit and Snapjack SS prop stands etc etc....... keep in mind you DO NOT need to buy a dongle to replace the purge valve. Save the $50Au and simply leave the oem purge valve connected to the ...

O2 lambda removal dongles

Cheers all, Finally had time to install my O2 fuel dongles while the tank was very low in fuel...... :) I rerouted the rear connector so that if anything went wrong on the test ride (like it did with the UK sourced purge valve resistor dongle ;) ) I could easily reattach the lambda probes and go oem...

Re: mtc/ engine light

G'day ktmkazza, Sorry didn't see your post...... this is an old style forum and conversations can get swamped by new posts. Get to your KTM shop and have them plug in the diagnostic tablet..... in the meantime check your battery terminals and fuse blocks and look for any loose connections You haven'...

Re: Dash blanked out after stall and restart

Me again...... I'm wondering what the EV service warning could be ...... KTM has a recall out for 'Brembo' brakes but that is a simple brake piston replace precaution....... all the new bikes of all brands will give error messages when something is not correct.... but if it is running normally and n...

Re: Dash blanked out after stall and restart

I was able to restart the vehicle and drove straight to the dealership but it was closed. Has anyone else experienced this? I am freaking out hop...

When he said he had heart surgery too, you should have said “yeah, they obviously removed it”. ....... looking back at the incident........ after a great weekend away...... I think he had a "mental health" issue....... and it was probably BS that he claimed heart surgery :( . After I got home...

Re: Any reliable SD-GT's out there?

G'day all, Over on the KTM forum there are a couple of 17SDGT's in the 40,000km zone...... this thread has a dreadful title which implies KTM's are disasters waiting to happen...... but most forum issues have been down to poor workmanship or gripes from new owners transitioning from long running Jap...

Inverell M/C Restorers Rally 27th Annual Event 12apr2019

G'day all, After being an internet motorcyclist for over a year and recovering from heart by=pass surgery and surviving an awful hot summer down under, it was time to get riding again....... which i have been doing, but not quite enough to feel confident about a 1000km round trip to the bike restore...

G'day mjonesjr.....

I can't advise except to suggest try posting over on the "KTM Forum"...... it seems more active than this one (super twins forum was down for 3-4 weeks in january and possibly lost a lot of contributors to other forums).

Best wishes from Aus ;)

Re: Coolant Leak and Moist Petcock

G'day Bansheewc, Sorry didn't see the post till today...... The fuel tap must be open or the Gt will draw fuel from only one side of the tank and effectively 'run out of petrol' while still showing full on the fuel gauge. The fuel pump draws from the left side and the fuel gauge registers from the r...

Re: Back seat stuck down?

Cheers JJ....... must have a look at my seat latch cable..... Cheers Pk1..... i found a small quantity of stale fuel in the plugged fuel tank drain hose too. The system is designed to retain all fuel spills and vent to the canister in the tail...... I left the main hose in place but shifted the tail...

Re: Paired devices forgotten at each start

Hop on to the "KTM forum" and select the super duke section....... or do an intro - that will get to all users!

There's quite a number of 19 owners and a heap of technical types active on that site, so you might get an answer quick smart...... then come back and let us know ;)

Awesome artwork...... and the silo's looked good to

I think the white GT is the pick, unless you like the stealth look of the black/matt black one.... ;)

Artists are amazing..... such lifelike images painted so high up....... and in perfect symmetry..... I'm so untalented
