Re: Well, This happened (Updated)

Well, after many back and forth emails with AR I'm happy to announce that they are a pleasure to deal with and have offered (2) very appealing options to move forward. In my initial email to them outlining the problem\failure I had with my Hi Mount Can, and done so more as a ploy than anything else ...

i never had this problem when i built r3 exhausts.. you just add a additional piece making it a pyramid / upside down v type contact on the muffler.
Exactly, that's what should have been done\provided.

Is it me, or looks like exhaust has been rubbing on your peg? Possible that has been putting tension on it all that time?
Yes, its been rubbing in that area all the time, it wasn't bound\binding at that area, just rubbing occasionally.

Well, This happened (Updated)

I fucking emailed Austin Racing with my concerns about them going from (2) L-Shaped Can Hanger Brackets to (1), with (1) allowing a lot more flex allowing the (1) Bracket to act as a fulcrum yet they assured me testing proved (1) bracket sufficiently strong enough. Well, fuck them my testing shows d...

Re: 2017 SDR Mods (Beast 2.0) - What have you done?

I'm finally just about finished with mods (I think ) except for a LSL aluminum drag bar coming from Europe and maybe 2 new mirrors for the drag bar. I'm loving it too...it's the perfect bike for me. 11-13-17_1290_1.jpg Cheers! I love LSL, had a Superbike Kit from them on my 2003 GSXR...

Re: Thinking of Selling

My experience is that stuff I have added to the bike is worth close to nothing from a potential buyer. If you are interested in maximizing your return, take all the goodies off and return it to stock, then sell the goodies off separately. Then look at KBB for the retail sale price and price it in t...

Re: Thinking of Selling

No one has really offered up their opinion on what a fair asking price would be?

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the words of wisdom and advice, always appreciated.

What you need is a supercharger for the Superduke.

Re: Thinking of Selling

I'm still trying to figure it out as well as a Turbo Busa is polar opposite of the 17 SDR. If I'm honest, I guess its a Dick Measuring Contest with a buddy I ride with. He has a modded ZX-14, I can ride his rear tire, stay ahead of him in the twisties yet on the back country open road stretches he ...

Re: Loss of low end torque AR exhaust and removing exhaust valve.

On my 2017 I have a Full Hi Mount AR GP1 System, Full Stage 4 Rotti Intake Kit, and Custom Rotti Map on a PCV....Brutal in every aspect. Before putting on the Rotti Stuff, running just the AR kit, and after fixing a few issues I created, I never felt the bike lost anything with the addition of the E...

Icy Conditions

Here in the North East part of the USA the temps are getting pretty cold at night. Didn't take the bike to work last night as Precipitation % was at 20 %, good thing I didn't as when I walked out of work the rain was mixed with sleetish\snowflakes. Today I decided to take the bike to work, especiall...

Re: 2017 SDR Mods (Beast 2.0) - What have you done?

I don't know what you did...software/map-disabled ECU servo-check function? I just took everything off. I do have a PCV with a map from Rotti? I've never had the dealer disable anything in the ECU? Hum. Is your Rotti map in addition to an Akra map? Yes, and Boom now that you said that, that makes s...

Re: Spotless Bike, other than these bubbles

I try to ignore my tank and just ride my bike. You could grate cheese with the damn thing by now. I haven't noticed any bubbling though. Your bike looks damn good. Are those bars narrower than stock? What bar ends and mirrors are they? Thanks for the compliment on the bike. The bars are a total of ...

Re: Spotless Bike, other than these bubbles

Nice looking bike. I couldn't see any blemishes, but I'm on my phone. This is the first time I've seen this exhaust with the rear foot rests. Which is what I'm looking for. How loud is the exhaust, any baffling in the mid pipe? I've got the comp werkes shorty and it's too loud for me, but sounds gr...

Re: 2017 SDR Mods (Beast 2.0) - What have you done?

Why didn't you completely remove the entire servo assembly and cables? I removed mine when I put the complete AR system on. I forget all what I did, but I don't have any codes or lights flashing. The cables ARE removed. As you can see above, they remain attached to the removed cat. Adding a servo s...
