Re: Getting a Grip on Fuel Range.....3.5Ltrs reserve or not?

Well, I ran mine out of fuel 500 ft from my garage door at 249.7 miles...I will not do it again but it helps me keep everything in perspective. I was trying to get home because it was very hot that day and wanted to get my wife home...the positive is that I am comfy riding with the blink warning as ...

Re: Almost but not quite there yet

Mr Mick, congrats on the bike order. We started looking for a new bike because we wanted to get a bit sporty because we are now in Mesa AZ, awesome roads in every direction and the guys I ride with had sporty bikes. My Valkyrie bobber gets the job done and looks fooking cool doing it but when my wif...

Re: Quickshift +

Great question, so great in fact that I reached out to KTM-USA and asked if the Quickshifter could be upgraded from up-only to an up and down QS. I was hoping it could be as easy as a software update. I was advised it is not possible. I am really wanting the QS+ too. Is it enough to get the next GT,...

Picked up bike after nearly 3 months in the shop

Picked it up last Saturday with doctor's blessing (permitted to ride the bike home) 15 miles and it was bordering on glorious. I saw no outstanding defects on the repair. That might be a stretch because it was 115deg and 40% humidity but man it was awesome. Then the dealer called me to say he found ...

Re: Ordered CustomLED tail light

Mine kicked the code as well, he sent me resistors that seemed a bit bulky but worked. My new one did not come with them (I will get free ones if I need them) very bright, and programmable...I had mine set to 10x burst and then solid...will be mounting it again as soon as I get the bike back because...

Re: Ordered CustomLED tail light

When I ordered it initially I was told I was the guinea pig for GT's I got it and it biolted right up but there was a flange on the bottom of the oe light that was not on the new light and I let him know and was advised that they were making some changes. I got an email that they had one but I neede...

Re: A bit of a review

Bruce, Great write up...it was like I was there with you while on our GT, but you are better with the words. I have been able to spend way too much time on the boards...have not ridden since 4/14...and not sure when the bike will be done and I cant ride until at least 7/25 My wife and I love ours, o...

Mr C, please keep us informed of that project...I would love to have cruise on the left and your way would be a lot cheaper than the alternative...new bike LOL

Tan, thanks for the update on the 2018! Can you post a link to where you "heard" that? And also for clarifying that you will not be getting a new KTM...it is possible that some may have misconstrued your experiences as endorsements. LOL

Re: Repair estimate is $8400+$1200 Supplemental

Just updated the title...one month out and its not done yet. I stopped by to check progress the other day and found more stuff and then the dealer found a bunch of stuff relating to the swing arm...I also noted some pretty serious scratches where the axle nut on clutch side front contact the ground....

Re: 1290 SD GT recall

Yep, old news yet I just got my letter on 5/10/17. And this is after asking my dealer to check on it a couple of months earlier and he said it did not apply...then when I was wrecked and the bike was taken to the repairing dealer, he was checking numbers and found it was under a recall...

Question for anybody that has totaled new GT

Hey team...if anyone has had a 2017 GT written off by their insurance company as a total loss did they tell you what the salvage cost or actual cash value was? Will be talking to the insurance company and believe that I may become a victim due to the really low numbers of these bikes that may have b...

Re: Repair estimate is $10K-write-off?

Sensation, We will have to get together for a ride. Mike was telling me that the fuel tank was damaged and it was something like $2700. I was really surprised that the bags were only $800. If they do total it, I have the oe seats to put back on...powerparts seats will go on the repaired/replaced GT....

Re: Repair estimate is $10K-write-off?

Well...
The shop has completed the estimate and appantly the saddle bags were not as expensive as I hoped they would be...new total $9400...So even though not confirmed by the ins co, i am pretty sure it will be repaired and not written off
