Re: 2017 fuel pump recall

Yep, I had mine done last week. There are also service bulletins for a ECU update and protective sticker on the swingarm to stop the exhaust flap cables rubbing the paint. I have a GT and was advised that the fuel pump was not a recall but more life a TSB. I wish i would have got a copy of the pape...

Re: It quit...but did refire!

I went to the dealer yesterday and the replaced the fuel pump under warranty. Made a few bonus points with the KTM tech by having almost no fuel in it...said he appreciated that. Hopefully it takes care of the issue

Re: Tell me it is a bad idea..

I was pretty excited about my wife doing some soloing on the GT and I thought that of the bug really hit hard we could look at a 790 Duke for her...the bug does not seem to be biting as hard as I would like and with the rices falling on the GT, it would probably be a smarter buy to get another GT fo...

Re: Collected my bike today

Congrats on the new GT. This was my first non-Valkyrie bike and is a 2-up machine for weekend rides with my wife...SHE LOVES IT and she has even ridden it solo in a parking lot...
The torque is amazing...I am a giggling idiot after riding it.

Re: Quickshift +

o when I got my SUper Duke GT, it was my first EVER sport bike...and I enjoyed the discussions where hairs were being split on the pluses and minuses of different features on different bikes...but the BMW quickshifter is the shit...you have no idea how clunky the KTM's switchgear is until you use so...

Re: Thoughts on new tires

I was going to wait for the Michelin Road 5 but I am not going to cheat my wife out of potentially 6 weeks of weekend riding so I am going to try a set of Pilot Road 4

Thoughts on new tires

I need tires and was going to wait until Michelin Road 5 became available but cant...will see what folks think of them and they may be my 3rd set...unsure what the 2nd set will be. Mileage is a consideration but not the primary one

Re: The new 790 Duke for 2018

My wife has expressed an interest to get back into riding her own bike. She used to have her own Valkyrie Tourer and now we have been 2-upping the GT for about 7 months...she did her first solo ride around a parking lot yesterday on the GT...I think a 790 would be great for her on our day rides...ge...

Wife's first Solo GT ride

It will be painfully obvious that I cant take a video but I want to share because I am so proud of her...now if I could get her up to speed and talked into a 790 Duke then all would be well in the world.

Re: Getting a Grip on Fuel Range.....3.5Ltrs reserve or not?

Well, I ran mine out of fuel 500 ft from my garage door at 249.7 miles...I will not do it again but it helps me keep everything in perspective. I was trying to get home because it was very hot that day and wanted to get my wife home...the positive is that I am comfy riding with the blink warning as ...

Re: Almost but not quite there yet

Mr Mick, congrats on the bike order. We started looking for a new bike because we wanted to get a bit sporty because we are now in Mesa AZ, awesome roads in every direction and the guys I ride with had sporty bikes. My Valkyrie bobber gets the job done and looks fooking cool doing it but when my wif...

Re: Quickshift +

Great question, so great in fact that I reached out to KTM-USA and asked if the Quickshifter could be upgraded from up-only to an up and down QS. I was hoping it could be as easy as a software update. I was advised it is not possible. I am really wanting the QS+ too. Is it enough to get the next GT,...
