Re: PCV O2 dongles with Rotti/Full Akra Evo

Don't need a pcv with the Akra map. My local KTM dealer said a pcv n Roth air Filter would only add a couple of hp vs The cost around 1k installed. Advices to use rotty dongles to smooth out Idle. I am also using a Austin Racing slip on with The full Akra system. Sounds badazz and runs Grrrrreat !!...

Re: aftrmarket rotors question

I never tried Galfer, but I'm running Braketech Cobra SS. Again, I didn't ride aggressive enough on OEM ones to make good comparison, but never had issues with Braketech. I'm using them with Ferodo SinterGrip ST. Although they don't have aggressive initial bite, as they are linear, but they do stop ...

Re: Best braking pads

My 5 Cents = Unless you're constantly riding super aggressively or doing track days, I'd suggest a semi-metallic (semi-sintered) pad from a brand name like Ferodo or EBC. They might not have the initial 'grab' of a sintered pad, but they do the job and are easier on your rotors and wallet. I'm prob...

Re: Just purchased a SDR17

Congrats!

I've been owning SDR for about a year, it's a super bike.

But right now, I'm extremely excited to buy S1000rr and start tracking it.

Re: RE: Re: Best braking pads

Best in what sense? Feel, power, life, performance per dollar? Any top line pad from almost any manufacturer is great, comes down to personal preference. I've used EBC HH FA188, Galfer 1375 and currently Vesrah SRJL-XX, which is a track only pad variant of the RJL-XX. There are a lot of people who ...

Ferodo, EBC or OEM?

Interested in hearing people's experiences.

Re: RE: Re: PCV O2 dongles with Rotti/Full Akra Evo

I am using the full Akra system except I Replaced the muffler with a Austin racing muffler. Also running the Akra map,had a surge at idle Was advised to use rotty dongles. Dongles got rid of surge and gained more low End power !!!! Doesn't Full Akra come with dongles itself? Sent from my MIX using ...

Re: Oil change

To recap the whole story: I did drain all oil (waited about 20mins for it to come out). Reinstalled drain plugs and oil filter. Filled in 3l of oil. Ran engine for about 2-3mins (maybe this was a mistake). The engine was still hot when I started the whole procedure. I then started to top up oil to t...

Re: Can AutoTune be connected to ACC1

The answer is,

ACC2 (switched power) doesn't have enough amperage to run Autotune.
ACC1 does have, but you don't want it to be constantly connected as it will drain the battery.

So this is why Rotti offers a relay option.

No, I meant the excess of oil. I guess just open one of the drain plugs and let some of the oil out?

Is there a simple way to drain it?

I'm pretty sure that at 3.6l from the bottle, the side glass level was only half full.

Oil change

Could you please explain how much oil one needs to add when changing it? The manual is extremely obscure, it says it needs to be done in 2 stages, 3l first, then run the engine, then 3.6l. Does it mean I need to put 6.6l in total? I had a 4l bottle, I did put 3l first, ran the engine. Then started t...

Re: Whelp, It happened.

I dropped mine yesterday as I was making U-turn when a front wheel hit the bump on road. Was at zero speed, so I didn't balance it properly. I tried to hold it with my hands, while it was slowly falling on the side, but didn't have enough muscle power. Still, managed to land it very slow. No damage,...
