Re: Phillip Island Moto GP

Should be an awesome trip DaveW, I've been to the Moto GP on at least 5 occasions, last few times we hired a fancy camper, stayed the 3 days at the track, then toured to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road, watch our for those cops, Kiwi's get double the fines, they hate us i tell ya, but if you don't...

Re: Front header turning red @ warmup

Yes, here in the states, we have 10 percent ethanol in our fuel. I try to avoid it. Never heard about the fuel filter going bad that quickly, I'll have to check it. I had the fuel line issue and master cylinder issue fixed under recall.. I started with carbureted bikes! I know what you're saying lo...

Re: super semi active comfidence

GT1290?? they are a very good handling motorcycle, the Semi active suspension is very good, but not brilliant, there is room for improvement on the first (2016) GTs, a little more rear rebound dampning would go along way to improving it, but over all, a great handling motorcycle. (in sport mode :D )

Re: Front header turning red @ warmup

I wouldn't worry too much about the red pipe, sitting there, theres no cooling breeze on the pipes. i have the CAT removed, SAS removed, and the Servo removed, Rottweiler O2 sensor dongles fitted, Rottweiler STG 2 SAS removal kit, and the Healtec dongle, Remus link pipe and muffler, i haven't seen m...

Re: 2019 KTM SDGT Photo's are Out

In stead of paying the big bucks to up grade to the 2019 model, i used the same amount of cost $s difference to buy a 2016 MV Rivale..........its putting a big smile on my dial. it was a 59th birthday present to myself.

Re: Does anyone know how to stop pillion head butt?

Sometimes i just pull the clutch in and change gear, that way its a smoother disengage, if your using your brake to disengage the cruise control, then your passenger will head but you as theres no throttle, just engine braking.

Re: Booster plug

I asked this question on SuperDuke.Net, and got no replies. I think it tricks the airbox temperature sensor in thinking the air temp is cooler, causing the ecu to up the fueling ratio. Ive heard of mixed results on guys posting on other makes of bikes. You could be our tester. :D

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Ill be watching Bathurst Dave, with 2 kiwi boys up front in the points championship, this race will probably determine the winner. Hoping for Shell Ford win. Just watching the ABs verse the South Africans, great game so far, very nerve racking.

Re: Dyno map on gt with decat

I see its 143 HP at 8500 revs, the GT revs to 10,000 but would peak around 9500, so still a few more HP there. My ex 1290R with mapping and link pipe and Acra dynoed to 164, the GT feels a good 10 HP less, so my thoughts are its around 150hp at 9500 revs.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

^^ Glad you 2 invalids are on the mend. 6 weeks back a good riding mate of mine got told he had Pancreatic cancer, but operable. Well they opened him up then closed him up just as quick. Unfortunately he was riddled with C, I led about 25-30 bikes behind the Hearse last Thursday, some guys did stand...

1000kms so far on the PR5s, and I'm sold on them, even on a touring GT you can run them to the edge with confidence, love them so far.

Re: Help required O2 sensor delete now error code

Dave i woud say its. Slightly more snatchy than before go figure? Im thinking of poss putting it on the dyno at the local dealer to see what its putting out and what tha af ratio is like OK, thats odd compared to what I'm getting. I know mine goes bloody well, as i ride often with 2 1290Rs, (a 2014...

Re: Help required O2 sensor delete now error code

You will notice the GT is much nicer down low in the rev's around town, especially sport mode, where i think the engine runs the nicest. Now that the bike has a little more juice % down low, id put some injected cleaner through the system every 2000kms or so, just to keep everything nice and clean, ...

Re: Remus link pipe heat shield

Wish the factory would come out with a map for the GT like they did for the 1290R, that map made huge difference to the R, it turned Sport into an angry child.

Re: Remus link pipe heat shield

Ok, so I order the O2 removal kit from rotty, and the SAS removal kit, and I should be ok without mapping right? I'm using a healtech servo eliminator right now. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk My bike runs great, i could even run a quicker flow air filter with the O2 sensor removal. I have th...

Re: Remus link pipe heat shield

The SAS is pointless with the CAT removed as thats what the SAS does, it lets air into the exhaust system to facilitate a secondary burn in the CAT. The O2 sensors are designed to run lean as to pass EU regulations, and by removing the CAT it runs even leaner. The first thing to go on my bike was th...

Re: Remus link pipe heat shield

The GT does run ok with the link pipe, but it does run a little lean up to 5500 revs, Rottweiler O2 removal kit helps richen the low end fueling.
