I did my SAS removal and all the other bits and pieces associated with the canister removal and O2 sensor removal kit about 2 years back Paul, so I've forgotten most of what i did, but i did use some of the original piping to run and extra over flow drain from the tank, and to also extend the balanc...

Ha Ha, i did the same thing, and disconnected the seat the same way, i think from memory i put extra washers in place where the canister was removed and that stopped the seat from jamming

30K service

Got my 30K service done last Thursday. All valves well with in spec. Air filter oil and oil filter plus a warrant and all the KTM 30K checks done for $635, thats bloody good value for a big service. These 1290 engines are very well build. :D

My GT just ticked over 28,000kms with a 2200km trip last week, no issues other than the stand spur. Bloody reliable these 1290 KTMs :D

Good luck Rock, hope the opp to repair the damage went well. Just spent a week riding with my son, i brought him an MV Rivale to ride when he's home visiting from Melbourne, we did some great roads, averaging 500kms a day. We stopped for this pic on the way home over the Central Plateau.

^^You have to shrink the image first, i got my computer savy son to hook me up with how to do this, on an Apple MacPro, i do it through TOOLS- adjust size.

Nice down here Dave, went out fishing by myself (no friends) got some good fish. 25C here today with a little cloud cover, Christmas day looks to be wet, but on boxing day I'm off to the annual Motorbike street races, says showers for Boxing day.
