Reading this while eBay and Ktm twins are open looking at parts. It's a problem.

Re: Fuel running out from top tank

Is that where the fuel goes if you spill it around the tank neck under the cap while fueling up. Kind of like an overflow? I'll check when I get home from work.

Re: Fuel running out from top tank

Not normal. I fill mine to the neck all the time no leaks. Check the gasket in the lid and the surface of the tank it mates to for anything stuck on it breaking the seal.

Re: Soon to be newbie...or not?

The Sdr in rain mode is very tame. Not a bad way to start out if your nervous. Sport mode with traction Mtc and anti wheelie off is a whole other ball game.

Re: Oil change

Change filter. Clean or change screens. Put it all back together. Fill oil reservoir with 3 liters and run bike for a few mins. Stand up bike and fill to appropriate full level on glass.

I don't have a contact for you. But I can say you are not alone. Local dealer here "orange level" which is the supposed expert level guy has made some very amateurish mistakes.

14,15 and 16 were the same. So I'm thinking 17,18 and 19 will be the same. 2020 model year should be the one to look for. And I'm already saving my pennies.

Sometimes mine does and sometimes it's quiet. Not an issue. My 690 did the same thing.

Re: 1290 Mode Control Question

Some people think the anti wheelie is stronger on some bikes due to software or firm ware that's installed. Dodge makes it look unavoidable to do wheelies every where , mine is not like that. With all settings on and on street mode I can get little floaters if I hit it hard. But that's it. Also I am...

Re: Loss of low end torque AR exhaust and removing exhaust valve.

Sure did. It made it louder definitely. I knocked the rivets out of the end. Removed the end cap and baffle. Ground out the baffle carefully because it's used to connect to the internal tube that runs through the muffler. But patience paid off. It came out great. Few bucks for new tivets and done. I...

Re: Loss of low end torque AR exhaust and removing exhaust valve.

The smart guy would probably return to stock and remove the baffle from the stock slip on. I did that and it sounds good. Then bought a full system. A guy online goes by the name royal Jordanian on you tube. He has a 17 and did work to it. I think he went full akrapovic system and is happy with it. ...

Re: Loss of low end torque AR exhaust and removing exhaust valve.

My opinion. These bikes are the best right off the show room floor. A lot of engineering goes into making one of these and bolting on parts isn't always an improvement. In my case I just couldn't live with the stock exhaust note and backfiring so I held my nose and bought another full akrapovic syst...
