Re: Rear Wheel Removal

Ive been dealing with single sided swingarms since 2007. I had a 2 ft torque bar with a extension & my 200 lb body jumping on it & I couldn't remove the nut on my 1098 Ducati. Borrowed a friends electric impact gun & the nut spun off in seconds. If your racing or tracking a bike with a SSSA, a good ...

Re: 2016 KTM 1190 to a 2019 KTM 790

What kind of riding do U plan on doing? Is the 1190 that hard on fuel?
Kaslo BC! I imagine U have done the run from New Denver to Kaslo 100s of times.?
I think the 790 would be a fun bike. But it must be 40 - 50 HP down on your 1190. Your going to miss that power.

Re: 2015 SD Clutch replacement

^^^ True what ilmothefin said. That's the 1st thing that should have been tried. Open the bleeders.
Though one would think if it is over pressured it shouldn't move forward with clutch lever pulled in.
33000 kms of aggressive riding has probably got the best of it.

Re: 2015 SD Clutch replacement

Well, if your smooth with it & not sliding the clutch too much that works. In a corner I can understand not wanting to upset the bike. But down a straight away going through the gears try going clutchless. I have a QS now but even without the QS I didn't use the clutch upshifting. (motocross backrou...

Re: 2015 SD Clutch replacement

You better pull it apart & have a look. 2 hr job maybe? With your style of riding the clutch could be on its last legs.
Do you use the clutch when you upshift?

Re: 2015 SD Clutch replacement

Curious, have you changed the lever on the clutch? I did a few track days & felt my clutch slipping at the end of the 2nd day. I bought the 1290 GT springs(which I believe are heavier) & thought I had the problem solved. After about 100 kms of hard street riding it began to slip again. Long story sh...

Thx Spiff. I have a DJ QS. I seem to miss a lot of shifts with it. I haven't changed any of the settings, yet.

Re: 1290 flat up top

Interesting take on the SDR. I have the same feeling. Once your over 200 kms the SDR is a sitting duck for a litre bike with full fairing. Pull on them & pass coming out of the corner only to be taken at the end of a straight. I am afraid theres not a dam thing we can do. 10,000 RPM sounds a little ...

Re: 2017 Super Duke Race Prep

So I finally got some seat time and the first race in on the Super Duke. Let’s just say it did not disappoint and I beat out a couple Panigale’s for the win which made it even better. I’m still wanting to upgrade the suspension in the front but besides that the bike rode great! D07AAE71-76D9-4213-8...

Re: Well, This happened (Updated)

The DB killer for the Hi-Slung isn't much of a killer. I experimented a little & modified it. Had the noise down to where I could handle it. BUT. It was also a noticeable reduction in power. I would think that the dual pipe could be toned down & muted a little & still give good exhaust flow. Quieter...

Here is video walk around-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w7fXnn4ZfU I like it. Now if they could quiet it down a bit. (Utube videos don't give a real indication of how loud exhausts are.) Id consider buying one. I do have the Hi-slung sitting in my garage. http://i.imgur.com/IR6IlVeb.jpg Love t...

A electric or air impact works best for removal.

Re: Hold on 2017 SDR release?

Well, I got the AR Link Pipe and ST Range Hi Mount Can installed, m initial impressions are that the throttle responses is a lot quicker, super crisp sounding, instantaneous. It's also loud as fuck. Due to the rain I have yet to take it out for a test drive to see if in fact the Akra Map with Stock...
