LOL!
They're my fork "guards". J/k once I had the new pieces fitted, I washed the bike, before putting it away.
Still other more important things to do before Saturday with the bike.

Track prepping KTM 2015 SD1290R.

Already had put KTM handguards and GB Racing case covers, some time ago, as well as T-DRIVE rotors. KTM powerparts (track only) installed today: Front number plate Rider seat unit Passenger seat cover with integrated dummy taillight. Removed all lights, mirrors, passenger pegs. Installed Evotech muf...

Dude, give it a rest. I NEVER said, nor even insinuated you had poor riding skills. However, YOU are all too happy to hurl shit my way, and that's great for you. I sure am glad they attributed your problem (that did not exist in the first 200 miles) to a bad o-ring, fantastic story! Good for you! I...

Re: 2017 SDR High Idle

you're only about 300 rpm's out of synch. Which further prompts me to believe you're probably no worse for wear and it's something simple. Yeah, it's no big deal. Just an minor annoyance at idle. Otherwise, the bike has become scary-fast. Been thinking about this... Your throttle bodies are p...

Re: Bike shuts off at low speed when cold and downshift to 1st

Turns out pops was right, I'm just a shit rider and don't know how to operate a clutch on these super duper v-twins. I'm too Japanese 4 banger to do it right.... Or it was a bad o ring on the fuel pump starving the bike of fuel. Getting fixed Tuesday Anyone else having cold start issues to stumblin...

Re: RE: Re: Best braking pads

Best in what sense? Feel, power, life, performance per dollar? Any top line pad from almost any manufacturer is great, comes down to personal preference. I've used EBC HH FA188, Galfer 1375 and currently Vesrah SRJL-XX, which is a track only pad variant of the RJL-XX. There are a lot of people who ...

Re: RE: Re: Best braking pads

But someone told me to avoid EBC pads as they kill the rotors quickly. I'll call bollocks to that. I've been using EBC HH pads for the last 22,000km and measured wear is between .03mm - .04mm. With a wear limit of .5mm, that should give me an approximate 275,000km from my rotors. I wish peopl...

Re: Best braking pads

I appreciate looking for the best pads, but is anyone not satisfied with the stock performance? For street use does anyone think upgrading the discs is needed? Not satisfied - when for unknown definitive reasons, the standard rotors tend to warp on this bike. Aftermarket - or more specifically - NO...

Re: 2017 SDR High Idle

Sorry you've not received a response, but here's a couple of ideas, one of which they most likely would/will ask when they do respond. Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak, from the hoses that were discarded, maybe a not so good connection at a T fitting, or somewhere else that's open? Balancin...

Re: Weird plug on SD 2017??

Guess that makes sense. Sendt fra min SM-G950F med Tapatalk That's why I asked if you had the Akrapovic map, if it is flashed to your ECU, there's no need for a dongle inserted in the plug for the SAS or charcoal canister connection out back. The Akrapovic map disables both signals, so the only rea...

Re: Fork seal leaking at 2700 miles WTF

Has anyone had a problem with a fork seal leak on the SDR? The dealer told me it was not covered under warranty, it's brand new! They said it was normal wear and tear, the bike has 2700 miles on it! WTF Did you try something like trying a "seal mate"? Or the edge of credit card, or your l...

Do you have the Akrapovic map on your bike, and the SAS system removed by the dealer?
It kind of resembles the plug for that...SAS system.
