Re: Screen protectors on 2017

Do you guys and girls bother with these? It's not a touch screen so does it need one? Ducati's new faultistrada had a serious problem with scratching from normal cleaning cloths, to the point of warranty claims. Ducati opted to send out free screen protectors. I'd say if you have the opportunity to...

Re: Catastrophic front brake failure

I've some pitting on my rear (I use my rear more than the front I think) and was looking at EBC or galfer. Glad to hear you're happy with EBC as they are cheaper [THUMBS UP SIGN]

All parts made by Brembo, I'd have shoved it back at them.

Re: Scary brake failure reports.

Oh and if the brakes were dragging, free up the disc bobbins. I had to do mine a few weeks ago for the same slight groan from some drag. It's the same you get on any bike with floating discs

Re: Scary brake failure reports.

It's basically poor maintenance. Keep your brakes clean and your bobbins free. I've a 2013 SMT (great choice by the way) and have also owned a 2010 SMR. Both bikes have never had any issues with brakes and I don't exactly clean it after every ride (more like once a month if that). I do plenty of mil...

Re: Finally found what I was looking for

I'm running an ITG airbox, secondary flies removed, SAS Removed and uploaded a map. Still running standard exhausts due to funds (house extension). The intake noise is very nice but not overly loud compared to just exhausts. What has massively improved is the rate at which the revs climb, and the sm...

Re: ITG intake noise

I get a little tambourine noise at that rpm but it all adds to the magnificent noise that is the intake.

It's a price you pay for awesomeness

Re: Remapping or stock?

Good day anyone! I have bought the exhaust from "Magic Wand"(i recommend this guy)! Just now i`m a little confused. Must i remap the engine if i install the exhaust(dominator)? I understand, that to improve the characteristics of a motorcycle, I have to install many more all, for ...

Re: are there any benefits to decatting standard smt exhausts

Mate of mine had his on aftermarket exhausts for years and didn't change the map. Only changed his map recently because I replaced his airbox and did all the other mods. It's not hard to buy the Lonelec cable from eBay and use the free TuneECU software to upload a new map though. I seriously implore...

Re: are there any benefits to decatting standard smt exhausts

Loads of effort to get a bit more noise from some hideously heavy exhausts. Best off getting rid altogether

13 was the map I ran before I went and did the airbox. I hadn't yet taken the secondary flies out though so it was exactly stock.

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I´m back... not that happy today... :? Decided to remap the engine again, to the original map. I know I saved it to the computer when i remaped it with #20 map in beginning of April, but now when I tried to get original map back using TuneEcu program and ECU -> Download, the option is not av...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I've map 20 with reduced idle and got some battery problems. Has anyone else noticed that low idle reduces charger efficiency? Seem to charge ok with some throttle. I thought it was normal for a bike's charging system to not charge on idle. I thought they only kicked in at about 1/4 rpm. Sent from ...
