Re: Rear brake lever is contacting clutch case

Just to show you all what I was talking about, see below pics of the rubbing. I've still not ordered the parts as I used a metal spacer and longer bolt as a temporary measure. It does appear that I only have 1 of the 2 required bearings though. This would probably explain my problem. Damn previous o...

Re: 2017 1290 sdr with a quad lock mount

Is that iPhone 7 plus? I have the Ram claw mount with x grip and while I like it it's HUGE and looks horrible when phone isn't installed. This is super sleek and out of the way. Wasted 60$ on the RAM thing. Darn. Yep, 7 plus. I've also got mounts in the car (they do a simple 3M sticky circle) and m...

Re: Greetings from Torbay!

Hello all! Just purchased a beautifully kept 2013 (2012 MY) SMT 990 which I am thrilled with! It has just covered 5000 miles and has the Leo Vince slip ons that have been set up very well on a dyno. I have been pottering and getting used to it all weekend and have noticed the following... 1, The OE...

Re: Rear brake lever is contacting clutch case

I didn't know myself. Went on the parts manual, expecting to see a rubber bush or something.

Rear brake lever is contacting clutch case

My rear brake lever is rubbing on the clutch case, to the point where I now have two grooves in the clutch case from the 2 lever screws. I'm thinking I should order the 2 bearings that connect the lever. Has anyone else had the same and diagnosed it as the bearings? The lever is not bent. You can pu...

I'm running 20. Started out with 2% and now dropped to standard 20 map. Was too rich with any extra for me (UK).

Re: What to make of the Teething Problems forum

We get great support in the U.K. Dealers may not be as abundant as jap bike dealers, but I can use the online parts manual at my fave dealer, add the parts to basket and they're at my door in a day or two. Cheap too. Very reasonably priced parts compared to Ducati Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I'm getting my smt in with JD Warrington later this month on the dyno for a tune. Am I better getting the secondary flies out?... I've heard people say they should be left in and vice versa. I'd definitely say the previous owner has fiddled with TuneECU. Best thing would be to delve into that yourself as you'll come out the other side with one hell of a bike.

Re: Is there a step by step guide to renewing the standard air filter anywhere

It's tank off and top of the airbox off. Very easy to do and you'll find plenty on here about tank removal. Basically follow what's been written about replacing the airbox, just don't replace it [WINKING FACE]

Re: Screen protectors on 2017

Do you guys and girls bother with these? It's not a touch screen so does it need one? Ducati's new faultistrada had a serious problem with scratching from normal cleaning cloths, to the point of warranty claims. Ducati opted to send out free screen protectors. I'd say if you have the opportunity to...

I've some pitting on my rear (I use my rear more than the front I think) and was looking at EBC or galfer. Glad to hear you're happy with EBC as they are cheaper [THUMBS UP SIGN]
