Re: LIGHT Bulb for Auxilliary lights on SMT

They’re LED and I believe, sealed units with no bulb replacement. You could just get a cheaper set, like my safego ones, and wire them up to the same wires for the same operation.

Re: HELP my bike is beeping

So what openings did the map have before. Maybe your flies were barely open, creating the whistling (big air, tiny gap). If opening the flies has cured it, I’d either leave them as they are or go back to the old map but increase the openings at that rpm range by 10% Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: HELP my bike is beeping

You’re right, that’d drive me mental. Sounds like a Girl Scouts whistle rather than a snarling beast.

I think you’ve got an air leak somewhere. Double check your air box fitment, check the rubbers around the throttle bodies too.

Re: Cheap air box that works

A foam filter will always break down eventually, but I’ve got 9000 miles on mine and no signs of it yet. Are you keeping it oiled enough? They’re not exactly expensive either so if I have to replace every 4-5 years, it’s not an issue. Cleaned mine last service and it came out fine. Sent from my iPho...

Re: Rear brake lever is contacting clutch case

It was indeed the bearings in the brake pedal. I purchased them from a KTM dealer. They come individually so order 2. Getting them in/out is fun [emoji19]

They do different angles so check your pipes with a protractor

PipeWerx make some aftermarket ones. They’re listed on eBay UK. Not sure about your side.

The sensor is in the headers so these exhausts would work

Re: Bike creeping when clutch pulled in?

Sounds like a blocked oil jet or it needs an oil change. Mine usually does this when it’s in need of an oil change. Oil change usually sorts it right out and neutral is easy to find again. I use 10w50 Castro Power One Racing. If it’s a blocked oil jet, that’s easy to do and many guides online. Sent ...

Re: Water pump impeller - destructive removal (60035055100)

That’s the good thing about these bikes, the fixes are all really cheap. Just placed an order for £10 last night, just for a few O-Rings and screws that I’m replacing.

Same as the Ducati exhaust valves. Only there for noise restriction for the testing. Does nothing for tuning power or exhaust flows.

Re: KTM 990 SM issues

Based on the latest error codes (the ones after the clear), I’d be looking at the Roll Over Sensor, which sits by the ECU just in front of the airbox.

I believe you can just remove this and try again.

Yep, you’d have to swap the clocks too as clocks are different between models. If I were you though, I’d run your existing engine till it dies and then swap. I’d be curious as to how long it will go.

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi all, I didn't get much response when I submitted the post below last summer. I since made one more map which I have been using now for a couple of months without any issues. I have removed the logging equipment and mounted the lambda gauge on the handle bar. Lambda mostly stays around 14,2 when ...

Re: Soft panniers retaining pin

Thanks! Just mounted them to my bike, feels ok - even though im a bit skeptical about the not having a connection a bit lower as this being a 2017 SDR and the brackets are a bit different! But hopefully it will work just fine! Thanks for the help :) In that case, wrong forum section. Hence why my p...
